  1. Sorry guys not sure what point you are making here. club have said they will not support the current proposition. So if the vote is on that, then you know how club will vote. If there is a new proposal then surely we as fans should be told what it is and give our opinion on it. Or are you saying you don't trust the clubs not to come up with a new proposal and not tell us before they vote on it?
  2. Just read comments from dundee on bbc. It seems clubs have to vote yes or no. There can be no abstaining. Dundee are so far the only club told they can not vote due to a conflict of interest. Though how it is not a conflict of interest for the whole of the SFL is beyond me!
  3. There is a possible way to resolve all this. NEWCO/SEVCO/LEGSNO had a meeting last night. Ally was there, unsure if Green or any of the board were. 80% of their fans voted for Div 3. So today I call on them to do the honorable thing. State you will go to Div 3. Call out Regan, ensure he puts in place, new TV, Sponsorship and all other relevant deals that benefit the many and not the selected few. Get the leagues revamped, with play offs and pyramid system. You caused this shambles NEWCO, long over due YOU helped sort it !
  4. Sorry Allan but I disagree. The document put to the SFL was rejected. We have issued a statement saying NO to that document. I accept we have not said NO TO NEWCO in Div 3 but the proposal put to us was rejected. If the SFA, are going to change the proposal then let's see what their new one is and make our minds up on that. If not, our club will reject what is on offer. I think that is as clear as a bell.
  5. but I love anchovies and capers..................................and so it begins
  6. Steady now, lets not rush things!
  7. I seem to be missing something here. what is it that the Jags have done wrong. almost to a man, woman and child we wanted them not to accept the proposal put to them. They did. They are also clearly stating that the set up in this country is wrong and it needs changing and that now is the time for the governing body to take a lead and sort out the game in this country. when at any time did PTFC become judge, jury, witness for the prosecution and jailer? We are not (in my eyes) fobbing off or passing the responsibility to anyone else.......IT WAS NEVER OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BEGIN WITH. To date, the SFA and SPL have shirked responsibility not PTFC. I've made my feelings quite clear on this for some time. As a consequence of their actions the newco should be in div 3. Earn the right to get through the leagues (not a certainty in my views, as long as rules are not bent to suit them). If in a few years they get back to SPL, have played by the rules and win it, good luck to them. I want a level playing field for all. I want to see the sponsorship, tv monies et all done to benefit the many not the few. i have no intention of dancing on newco grave, for one , I can't dance! I just want the game changed from top to bottom to make it exciting again. I want that but not where we are asked to "sell our soul". For me the club stood up to that abomination of a proposal and said NO. That was all I asked them to do. They did it and as such I will be at Firhill tomorrow to pick up my season tickets. They kept up their end, I'll do the same. When this all comes to an end, surely at some point it will, there is one last thing that has to be done. We organize our own Olympic style torch relay. Instead of torches, we have 3 stakes, each with the head of Regan, Doncaster and Longmuir on them and we parade them through the town and city of each SFL club in Scotland. It culminates with a burning of the bodies outside Hampden in a fire that you can see from outer space!
  8. May be it is the strong coffee i'm drinking that has me in a haze, may be it is the medication i'm on for a throat infection, what ever it is I find myself about to say something really really weird............................................WELL SAID!
  9. Seriously Kni, that is the argument your putting up for them not being in same league as us? So they start in Div 3 and in time arrive in same league as us, wherever that may be, then what? Oh and if it is being "abused by their scum bag fans" as long as it is only words, then so what, it passes in seconds. Sure you get angry about it and perhaps you throw insults back, but really at the end of the day, who gets really hurt by it? Worse probably gets said by one jag fan to another on here.
  10. I totally agree with you on all aspects. We can only hope he doesn't vote for them.
  11. Did East fife issue that today? If so, then there is still time for our own board to make a statement. Plenty of clubs have yet to make one, we are far from alone. Don't think my feelings on this issue are in any doubt but I'm prepared to give the club a bit of time to make a statement. I would though, prefer it was done before the SPL meet tomorrow.
  12. Brothers and sisters,I have a dream. A dream where the evil, the corrupt, the blackmailers, those who have brought shame and disgrace to the game we love, face their day of reckoning. That the likes of Murray, Whyte and Doncaster finally get to face the music. I have a dream. That while there are teams who have more money than us, a larger fan base, have more success, that the rules that apply to those of us who play in Red Yellow and Black , Red, Red and black, Yellow, Black and white, Tangerine, Maroon, White, light, dark or sky blue are the same...the very same, as those who play in Green and white hoops and Royal Blue. I have a dream. That the journalists of the land, stop kneeling down and sucking the c**k of the old firm and take responsibility for the mess we find ourselves in. That they get off their fat , lazy arses and go out and actually earn a living. i have a dream. That when we lose our first game of the season, there is not a knee jerk reaction on here calling for Jackie's head. I have a dream. That when we are next asked to play on a Friday night, we make it a FANCY DRESS FRIDAY! I have a dream. That when we play non league opposition in the cup, we give them such a botty spanking at first time of asking, that the poor souls need skin graphs on their toosh, just to allow them to sit down. That the wee jags subscription for the coming season, goes through the roof. That there are incentives and a couple of open days for the kids and their parents to come and meet the ENTIRE first team squad (say at Firhill, or Firhill complex). Have a chat, take photos, get autographs, a wee kick about. I have a dream. That the stand behind the goal for the singing section, finally gets named the JOHN LAMBIE STAND and the man himself gets to officially open it. I have a dream. That at the 2012 wee jags xmas party, when doing the conga, Conrad Balatoni, pulls his fecking jeans up so that my wife doesn't have to hold onto his calvin Kien boxers, then throw the mother of all hissy fits when the conga stops! I have a dream. That now 7 months after the last wee jags xmas party, my wife will now PLEASE go wash her hands! I have a dream That when Lance announces the second prize in the 50/50 that when he makes a joke , everyone realizes it was JUST A JOKE! I have a dream That when wee Gus does his next publicity stunt while wearing the latest jags top, that people realise he is meaning no harm and trying to do the best for the club....wee man, i have a great idea about you being a gas inspector in Oldham, while wearing the latest away top..pm me and we can go over the fine details I have a dream That we can all throw our losing 50/50 tickets in the air at half time and no one gets shown the exit door! I have a dream. That the Mad Monks of Maryhill are back in the newly named John Lambie Stand, whipping themselves to a frenzy as the jags go goal crazy! I have a dream. That when we have the next firhill cup fun day, when i'm asked to change teams and thus play my opening game an hour and a half earlier than i was meant to, then make the save of my life and that of the entire day, that my wife, son and sister in law, have not buggered off to jaconelie's for tea and rolls! I have a dream. That at the same fun day, some bugger tells the PA guy, I have switched teams, so i'm not referred to as Nindy Sondh all bloody day. I have a dream. That on any given saturday, me, Uberteeb, Ian mac, Potty trained, Kirkiejag and Grant tierneys tackle, are on here laughing and joking over the latest 5 goal victory for the jags. I have a dream That Aaron Sinclair flies down the wing and sends over a cross of precision and accuracy , onto the napper of Dools and he sends the header past the despairing keeper and into the onion bag........not that Aaron Sinclair, fires a cross over the bing, straight into the napper of some poor OAP walking down firhill road with her shopping, thus knocking her onions out her bag and leaving her in despair. I have a dream. That Chris Erskine, brings his A game to almost every game and that he shows the rest of Scottish football what a player we all know he can be. I have a dream. That we send yoda jag out from his jedi temple to spread the good of PTFC. Even if that means sending him to a galaxy far, far away, as long as he can make the jump to light speed, he should be back in time for KO on the saturday....JUST THINK OF THE GOOD HE COULD DO!. I have a dream. That the Jagettes become the most popular female supporters group in Scottish football. I have a dream. That we don't refer to a shed boys section and a family section....we refer to each man, woman and child as THISTLE SUPPORTERS! I have a dream. That come the end of season 2012/2013 LMJ is seen in a conga with all the kids , while singing championees, championees. I have a dream. I stand before you brothers and sisters. I can just about see the sun. It is trying so so hard to break out and shine down upon us all with all its power and all its glory. There is , however, a dark, thunderous grey cloud blocking it. We brothers and sister, we can bring the wind of change. We can blow that evil cloud away and we can "LET THE SUNSHINE IN" together as one, no sections of this , no fractions of that. In unison, one voice. One loud and colorful voice. Then we can all be together, in May 2013 and watch as our captain, our leader of men, is handed silver. Then with tears in our eyes and hope in our hearts, we can sing in the proudest of voices as he lifts the silver to the sky...........................................FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST...THE RED AND YELLOW ARMY ARE FREE AT LAST! This political broadcast was brought to by Alan Leonard (aka Lenny Thistle) on behalf of the PLEASE BEATTIE, VOTE NO PARTY!
  13. Well said Nizzy. Still time for BOD to do the right thing. I accept clock is ticking, but there is still time.
  14. Just for the record. There is no affair, we've never met. I have no idea what happened but for one reason or another , LMJ and me just started to agree and get on. I know, It's mad but some how it just happened!
  15. There is an irony in all this. Rangers (NEWCO, whatever), will continue no matter where they end up, in one form or another. Partick Thistle Football Club will die if we all walk away. Now I'm not by any means saying i'm having a change of heart. I'm just stating that come the end of all this, we could be the one who dies, while they continue on their merry way! Tragic, isn't it!
  16. Wow......never thought I'd ever say this...MAXIMUM RESPECT TO CLYDE!
  17. I agree completely. My facebook page has been filled with new friend requests over the last few weeks following this matter. All are fellow Jags fans and have got to know me a bit better and understand me as a person by reading my views on this issue and of my love for the jags. I do feel something really really good could come out of this......if the NO vote is cast.
  18. For me, you and about 95% who post on here, NOTHING, but at least we would know what the club were doing.
  19. Correct me if I'm wrong but Forfar helped. I'm sure they waived some money owed or agreed to delay in it involving Allan Morgan( VAT on his transfer comes to mind). Had they not, it could have finished us. I'll forever hold them in the highest regard for that. Other than that, agree 100%.
  20. If the club had given us a timetable for events then i feel that may have helped. say from start they will look at all facts, advise that this would include the meeting of SFL on Tuesday. Then state they will give the full details from the SFL meeting and would "canvas" views of fans and say exactly how that would be done. Then state a deadline as to when a decision would be made. Had they done that, I would have been far happier and would at least have known of their agenda. All they have done is cause panic, unrest and now paranoia to creep into the fans!
  21. well if the deadline for refunds of paid season tickets is before 1st game of season, I really hope the club make their view known before then ! I'm OK with them waiting till after Tuesday's meeting but I expect an answer by the latest Wednesday!
