  1. Morton 1 up vs. Dundee. And Ross County 1 up vs. Falkirk. Ross 1 vs Falkirk 1
  2. Is Wightman a youth keeper, or brought in from somewhere?
  3. Sitting here, not long before kick-off, a lovely afternoon..... 1) Now I wish I was in Dumfries with the R&Y army 2) I miss the Nomads live show.
  4. A couple of good goals last night. I watched the game and then the RoI match with an Irish friend, who said that for him and many Irish guys it's a mystery why Scotland is so crap. He pointed out that the RoI doesn't have guys of the same quality as (to take modern examples) Adam or Fletcher, and yet their team regularly seems to punch above its weight. I couldn't give him a satisfactory answer, and instead pointed to a succession of managerial failures. I do feel that we've never quite recovered from the psychological blow of Gascoigne's goal against us in Euro '96. I know it still makes me feel sick every time I fail to avoid watching it.
  5. No, he was one of the best; when in his prime, a cut above the rest.
  6. This might spoil it a bit, but here's a wee list: Stan Still, Helen Back, Doug Hole, Terry Bull, Tim Burr, Rose Bush, Pearl Button, Will Power, Barry Cade, Mary Christmas, Chris Cross, Teresa Green, Ray Gunn, Jo King, Sonny Day, Justin Case, Lee King, Max Power. Edited to add: This one is real: a well-known Scottish tv film producer called Keenan Smart.
  7. Jaggernautess says she worked with a girl called Shona Legg.
  8. He could chop down just about anybody.
  9. I'm a Euromillions winner!!! £4 Now, how should I invest it.....
  10. That's it. Keep the faith! But you might just be right.
  11. As I said in an earlier post: only 4 wins in 12 league matches, out of both cups, team near the bottom.... Jackie would fit in nicely at Easter Road.
  12. Not to mention the totally catastrophic lack of punctuation and grammar....
  13. I know a girl down south called Lisa Lane. They don't think it's funny down there. Time for independence!
  14. I reckon it would make for more valid comparisons to compose best teams for each decade: the naughties, the 90s, 80s etc. For me, in the last 10 years: Tuffey, Somebody, Shaggy, Somebody else, Archie Rowson, A.N. Other Lindau, McLean, Hardie, Roberts
  15. Well, everybody, this potentially future Euromillions winner will see the Jags alright, but it'll be on my terms!
  16. Alas, he had just left Firhill when I was starting to show up. His goal for Liverpool still remains a thing of beauty!
  17. Thanks for that information. I'd often wondered about Jags players who were killed during the wars.
  18. I agree with you about Fraser; he seemed to do pretty well each time he came on as a sub last season. My eyesight is poor, but I don't recall Burns as being tiny. Anyway, there are plenty of good wee yins playing, though you can't have a full team of them, that's for sure. When you think of the youngsters that have had some 1st team experience over the last season or two (Fraser, Burns, McBeth, Bannigan, Campbell...), who'd have expected that Ryan Scully now looked like the only one to really break through!
  19. Well, it may be their biggest game ever. I can see why they'd want to give most of the tickets to locals.
