What would your reaction be if the SNP's policy wasn't enforced and tens of thousands of English students flooded the Scottish system at the expense of Scottish students? And you can be absolutely sure that exactly that would happen. I happen to agree with you about the overall number of university students, but as for your last sentence, there is now way on earth than the SNP can be blamed or held responsible for the current situation.

After the first quarter of last season the ICT fans were screaming for Butcher's blood, claiming that he would get them relegated etc. And then look what happened. We can win this league.

I know that many people have been pleased to see us investing more in youth teams in the last few years. And I can anticipate the overall reaction to the following question: In view of the lack of players from our youth teams becoming established first-team players, is the money spent on these teams worth it? But I'm asking it anyway. It's clear that it is possible to pick up good young players from other places for not very much money: Doolan, Fox, Sinclair, Elliot are all recent examples. So, ditch the youths, free up some cash for good players that can win us promotion. (Runs for cover...)

This is a good point. Towards the end of last season many of us were expecting several of our youngsters to be playing a big role in the 1st team this season, but they are nowhere to be seen. And we've yet to win a match with the players that JM deems are superior.

I remember there used to be crowds of fans leaving the ground then standing looking in a shop window in Maryhill road to see the final scores. Then it was the bus home and a pink Times to confirm the final results, which were often just stamped on the margin of the back page. The match reports only went up to half-time. But that's still better than some of the "reports" we get today.

Yes, they could propose Thursday mornings at 3am. I wouldn't put it past them.
