  1. I hope Holloway gets kept on by Blackpool, and Eck at Birmingham.
  2. Absolutely weird. Given all the publicity that Ryan has had recently, given the great season that he's just had, there's STILL a reluctance to give him the prominence he deserves, even in Scottish newspapers today (online versions, at least).
  3. Exactly the same feelings here.
  4. Now I might be wrong, but might there be a hint therein of irony, sarcasm, or cynicism? I've always struggled to differentiate them, but I can usually whiff one of them.
  5. He's honestly my favourite footballer of the last 20 years. A two-decadentertainer.
  6. The hoor will be 36 this year. But he's still banging them in and is their club captain, so I reckon he'll be playing on for them next season.
  7. Yesterday it was George Best. Today I'd just like to express admiration for Ryan Giggs. What a player! Especially away from home.
  8. It's certainly fuelling a lot of speculation. There can't be many people who've sh*gged a panda.
  9. Tread carefully, or a very poor pun fest will brake out.
  10. He's definitely let himself go a bit:
  11. Question: How do you tell if a car is male or female?
  12. Greetings from the other place. At least that's where I'm guessing I've ended up, given the numptie I saw wearing an OF top. And now I see that all that fire and brimstone stuff was just propaganda. It's freezin' and p*shin' wi' rain, and on the tv it's eithe Nicky f****** Ross The Big Question, or Hollyoaks. Please, God; gimme another chance tae get outta here!
  13. The big tim was already on a yellow card, so another would have meant that he got sent off. And sent off he should have been; no doubt about it. Same goes for Craigan, as his was aimed at preventing the ball from reaching the tic player just beyond him. I see that the scum were at it again with their sectarian songs.
  14. Thanks for that info. There's in fact a brief shot of the Thistle fans and fence at the shed and it looked like there was nobody on the other side of it.
  15. That's how I felt about the north terracing but at least there's a decent stand there, making that end of the ground look like we're in a football stadium. What'll happen at the city end is indeed just tragic.
  16. Not guilty. But proof that great minds think like alkies alike!
  17. One for Ronnie Glavin (Barnsley) here: One for Alan Hansen (Liverpool) here:
  18. The depressing lack of quality on display at Hampden this afternoon got me trawling on Youtube, and I'm glad I did. How could one guy be as good as this?:
  19. His Pete Docherty impersonation, maybe.
  20. If we'd started the season anywhere near the form that we showed in the final few months then we could have been challenging for promotion. We definitely finished on the up, with the defence looking solid, Grehan and Doolan working well together, Erskine showing more and more of what he has the potential to do and scoring into the bargain, and several promising youngsters starting to look the part. Since Buchanan left, we haven't lost any significant players. So even two or three good uns will help the cause. They don't have to be big names or stars (yet), but significant in the longer term, yes!
  21. Yes, apart from a 10-min spell in the second half they didn't do much to suggest that they could even get a draw (except for the rasper of a shot that hit the bar in the first half). Not much of a game all round.
  22. I've watched several by Motherwell in today's final. Totally, but totally wasted every time.
