  1. They'd probably not have a clue what you meant.
  2. Aah.....now I don't know which of you two is at it....... Both?
  3. He'll be taking some flak, that's for sure.
  4. I wonder what Sammy would do if the Pars played against Arsenal?
  5. I can just imagine the howls of mayhem, indignation and injury amongst those monkeys in their cage on wheels. No doubt all bravely screaming that they'd get you if only their wagon wasn't trundling away.
  6. I'm sure that's true: 4 lego stands with big gaps at the corners doesn't make for any kind of atmosphere other than a morgue-like one. Almondvale could have been a superb little stadium, if the numpties had given it a roof that covered all of the seats, rather than just about half of the rows. I'd actually be quite happy to see a "New Firhill" along those lines.
  7. If he gets away with it he'll tank his lucky stars.
  8. What a superb account of the ups and downs of being a Thistle supporter. Incidentally, and out of curiosity: what's that scarf of yours like?
  9. What a shame. Try this: http://www.faqs.org/photo-dict/photofiles/list/2554/3345personal_organizer.jpg
  10. Do Fife's finest really have nothing better to do with their time? More (fire)power to Sammy, I say!
  11. Going because will be making a weekend of it. The main reason is for fish and chips in Arbroath on Sunday.
  12. I was hoping that we might get Kawashima, but Scott Fox is better!
  13. This is the first time I've checked the Herald stats page. Some interesting reading: http://footballstats.heraldscotland.com/?pStr=Team_Stats&Cust=7010&Lang=0&ctid=16&cpid=3&TeID=212 The bar chart shows really nicely the change in form after Fox took over starting with the 11th league match. Also, by far our most frequent result in the last 20 matches has been.......... 0-0.
  14. Last night I watched Burniston. About 10% was amusing, but the rest was about the level you'd expect from a teenagers' school project where the aim was to try to be "funny". Edited to add: they have problems knowing when to move on from a "joke"; they don't half try to keep things going for as long as possible, which is too long.
  15. Do we actually have a steward called Tommy?
  16. Jackie ought to tell the Hearts manager that Balatoni is sh*te, but we'll give him another chance next season.
  17. That's not a bad start for a squad. Based on Saturday's performance I think that Tommy Steward would be an excellent addition as an attacking midfielder. I also think that Paul Cairney should be retained.
  18. Let me think about that one for a while...... Nah.
  19. No need to leave any tickets out. 1st ticket drawn wins that week's cash prize. 2nd ticket receives no prize, but gets kept for a later prize draw comprising only all the 2nd tickets.
  20. This thread is starting to overlap with the "fund generating" one at the top of the page, but it's clear that other similar-sized clubs have what appears to be valuable additional channels in addition to their matchday 50-50 draws. The ones that immediately spring to mind are the Raith Rovers pay-as-we-score scheme (don't think there's any prize involved, just donations), and the one that looks interesting to me, the Dunfermline weekly online lotto, with very decent prize money: http://www.parslotto.com/
  21. Something like a twice-per-season super-draw might be interesting. In addition to the top cash prize, select 5 or 10 tickets from every match and put them into a bumper draw. That would help keep the interest going for those of us who win f*ck all anyway.
