I didn't see those reports. My first reaction is "Aw naw", but actually it might not be such a bad idea, if it meant greater overall sponsorship to be dealt out equally between clubs, less repetitiveness of features, and maybe a window of opportunity for the re-emergence of true "fanzines".

I wouldn't be surprised if their lowest-paid first team player is getting paid more every week than our top earner. What exactly have been the very difficult circumstances? They shed some reserves and fringe players, but had to sell only one of their best players (Griffiths). They are still taking on new players, albeit under the disguise of "trialists".

Was in today and picked up a couple of the reduced camouflage away tops. Grehan continues to look as if he'll never score. And yet he has been working hard, knocking balls down to others, holding up well when required. I'd be tempted to hold on to him for a while yet.
