  1. We only need an injunction to put a spanner in the works and stop the Championship going ahead. That would be a victory in itself. As you say Litigation is a slow process. Whether we win or not seem irrelevant over whether we just roll over. Other teams who smuggly voted for themselves and against us now have to share our problem. Its better to die on your feet than live on your knees.
  2. When I made the suggestion about watching the ladies team I never said anything about paying £20. My point was just to find a way to keep things ticking over financially for the whole club. The real question is would you go and see the Ladies team if it helped save the club. It was never about perceived quality of the product on show. But I am sure I would still enjoy the lassies winning as Jags.
  3. If we don,t get any football behind closed doors to cheer on next season because League 1 is a no go, there is actually another Jags team at Firhill. The Ladies have been playing in SWPL2 for a few seasons and maybe we could try and channel our support there and if half way thru their season they allow some socially distanced attendance at the ladies games then it would be easy to move there matches from Petershill and spread a 1000 people across Firhill stadium. I think we have to think of everyway we can to get through this period financially and stay afloat.
  4. If Thistle have to go thru a season without football they might have to be very creative to raise revenue. How about a big screen on the bing and drive thru movies. Seems to be a popular thing at the moment. Would need to think of a temporary surface for the pitch but could work. Any other ideas?
  5. Are we all pine-ing for the football to return
  6. I like to treat all stories like this now with the thought ..lets not be hasty. Reporters will always make headlines sound as dramatic as possible. To rush to say this guy is scum is trial by twitter. Nobody knows the character of the person. Maybe it was a one off that the guy will have to live with for a long time. The high premium sentence was due to the high alert and current status of the coronavirus at this time. It would have been the same when AIDS virus first came out. What would have been the sentence for being drunk and spitting at an officer 6 months ago. Probably a lot less. Its dispicable what he did but we need to be careful how we demonise. There have been far to many situations were a person wakes up to a twitter storm and death threats who you find out later was totally innocent.
  7. Must be LOCKDOWN syndrome I suggest the BING should have the first wood planted in a stadium where you can adopt a tree to raise funds. The wood will be made up of FIR trees which later can be harvested by the club again to raise funds. But more importantly we would have our very own FIRHILL and it would be good for the enviroment. Could help with that breath of fresh air everyone is asking for at the moment too.
  8. I think it has to be more than Legal Action. It has to be an all out effort to get rid of Doncaster and the SPFL crowd and run with something totally new. That is the bold direction that should be taken. Call it a breakaway if you wish but there can be no better time for this to happen.
  9. Not way off the mark.. maybe an end of the bell curve scenario. Going to be a lot of pain and that is why the sinful six have retreated into there tortoise shells
  10. Is the SPFL headquartered in Mos Eisley..... The most wretched hive of scum and villainy in the Universe
  11. Jacqui obviously was on the companies website and voted no to the league..I mean resignation, but Neil put the squeeze on her ,it was all a technical error and she changed her vote to get back her joab. Oh eem eh wrong website...shit
  12. Surprising news if true in these times. But could be encouraging if this is what fans do to keep there respective teams going. https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/sport/motherwell-encouraged-by-rise-in-season-ticket-sales-for-2020-21-campaign/
  13. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/19/anger-in-sweden-as-elderly-pay-price-for-coronavirus-strategy But is it at the expense of there elderly population? We will never know the full story until a vaccine is found. So what sounds like a good strategy now maybe a disaster when next winter roles around.
  14. Must be a bummer if you have won a hospitality prize! Might be a while before you can claim that!
  15. They are of course on a roll. Straight to the Championship ..do not pass GO. There supporters will be on a high from a league win and promotion so it stands to reason the till will be ka-chinging. Well Gel but I suppose they have done there time down the leagues. Hopefully we will collect enough to survive and join them in a few years. Lets get that last £600 sorted by the weekend Jags fans.
  16. Sticking in the throat a bit Just watched a cracker of a match there on BBC Scotland Sportscene (Scottish Cup semi) QOS 4 Aberdeen 3. But wit a game.
  17. Shouldn,t it read "We ARE coming". When listening to that chant I always think the ARE is very pronounced.
  18. The thing is would we not want to vent such feelings against those in the league we now depart rather than the new teams we shall meet. When voting in league 1 took place those teams were not really thinking about PTFC. For us that would be QOS, Alloa and Greenock Morton. To do the same against Dumbarton for instance would seem counter-productive in a way.
  19. We all knew this was coming. Nothing like this ever goes our way. Its just a numbness you feel that things can never get any worse and then they do. While supporters of other teams may be distraught I now get over these things in a day. Need a new thread now "They,ve shutdown the season..shafted once more" I think we have to move quickly on and concentrate on getting the team thru this Coronavirus. I think that is now the greater danger than getting relegated
  20. Plenty of things to do other than football. Sit in the toasty pub watching the English premiership which many former scottish football fans would rather do now. As many have said the Irish play there league in the Summer and I can,t see that it seems to affect the Republic of Ireland competing to play in World Cups or Euros
  21. Yep. Start in early March. Finished for end of October. Shorter season but play more midweek games. Toasty
  22. I think the Summer football idea is possibly a suggestion that if the lockdown finishes in say June,July or August finish off season 19/20 have a couple of weeks break and go straight into a shortened league 20/21 maybe with only 27 games
  23. Preaching to the converted. I love watching football on Sunny days or crisp evenings in August when the parks are pristine and there is no need for crappy artificial surfaces. I have about another million reasons for wanting football in the Summer time. Won,t happen! Far to many traditionalist who love walking to the game in a freezing bollocks gale.
