DenisOhDenis
Thanks Jaggernaut. Ā Just like me then (I also happened around 1962). Ā Hopefully there will be another happy event this weekend, although I'm not feeling very optimistic after last night's display of hoofball. Ā Freebairn, Hogan, Baird, Wright, Harvey, Donlevy, Smith, Wilson, KERR (3), McPARLAND, Ewing. Difficult you say.... Ā

McParland looks about 20 there so either side of 1955?Ā Looks like George Smith on his right.Ā Doug Cowie of Dundee 6th from the left?Ā Agree Collins and Brown.Ā Struggling beyond that.Ā Can't find any representative fixture that fits Smith and McParland about then.Ā They may of course have been travelling reserves.Ā Look like they're boarding a ship.Ā League international in Dublin or Belfast perhaps? a f kincaid
Top picture with McParland @ 8...He only played one game @ 8 with George Smith playing (that's him at the far post). Ā 11/4/1959 Ā Ā 2-2 Ā Ā Ledgerwood, Hogan, Baird, Kennedy, Davidson, Donlevy, MacKenzie, McPARLAND, Goldie, SMITH, Wilson. Other picture with McParland @ 11...He scored in two different games against Hibs wearing 11 but the deciding factor is Hibs' keeper Ronnie Simpson lying on the ground.Ā Process of elimination means its 21/10/1961 Ā Ā 4-1 Ā Ā Gray, Hogan, Brown, Cunningham, McKinnon, Donlevy, WILLIAMSON, McBride, SMITH, DUFFY, McPARLAND.

a f kincaid
Looks like the Glasgow Cup final v Celtic 26 Sept 1960.Ā Hampden North stand in the background?Ā 2-0. Ā Freebairn, Muir, Brown, Wright, Harvey, Donlevy, Smith, McPARLAND, Hogan, CUNNINGHAM, Fleming. Ā Results against Celtic that season were:-Ā 1-1 (h) LC, Ā 2-1 (a) LC, Ā 2-0 (n) Glw Cup, Ā 1-0 (a) Lge Ā and 1-2 (h) Lge.Ā 2 wins at Parkhead in the same season; couldn't beat them at home!
