The Bottom Line....

.....is that we look rank rotten. One goal scored and 7 lost in 4 matches against 1st division opponents should have every Jags fan worried. Some people are saying that we've played well, have been unlucky etc. How about this: teams are happy to let us play well and weave lovely passes left and right either in defence, midfield, or along the 18-yard line. As long as we're doing that we're in no danger of scoring, and our laughable attempts on goal just confirm how toothless we have become. How come it always seems to be us that gets unlucky, and not our opponents?

There's no doubt about it: anything less than 7 points from the next 3 matches will see us plunge into a real crisis that will be reflected in the team's league position, performances (which may get even worse), confidence, supporter interest and attendances, hospitality etc etc. The next month or so is a critical period, IMO.

How many games did we lose last season 1-0? As many have said through the forum already, when we go behind in a match, there is little confidence now we can come back. The games against Cowdenbeath and Stirling Albion, who are no pushovers, will determine if indeed there is real cause to worry about how this season will go.

The next 2 games will not determine how our season will go they will only be a small part of that. Its times like these that fans show their worth to the team instead of shiriking every little mistake, wayward pass etc we should be getting behind the team encourage them to try an do better. Sadly these days thats seems a thing of the distant past

Mccall needs to instruct the team to start shooting on site, and thats not just for the forwards but the midfield too, till we break this only able to score 1 goal max a game hoodoo were stuffed, a few lucky goals over a few games will get the confidence up a bit and may take the pressure off the forwards so they can settle back into scoring goals

Jeezo that was mince last night. The lack of confidence was clear to see - nobody taking responsibility for a shot on goal. Now, I realise that watching the world cup over the summer can give you unrealistic ideas about football and the skills required to play it, but the bottom line is that our players aren't good enough to get anywhere near winning this league. And McCall flapping his arms and screaming at them isn't going to change that. The trouble is even if McCall were to go, who could we replace him with? There aren't enough managers to go round in Scottish football. The same numpties going from club to club and not trying anything different. Ah well, on that depressing note.... :P

It shows just how predictable our performances have become when someone who hasn't been to a game yet can hit the nail on the head. McCall out.
