Definitely one for students of serious film making and world cinema (snigger). After seeing the cinematic classic I'm sure it will walk off with numerous oscars. It's not just the story, which is deep and thought provoking, but the film score is fantastic and photography is simply beautiful. The unexpected twists keep you on the edge of your seat until the very finish. I don't want to give too much away about the finish but I'm not ashamed to say that I wept. So moving. It challenges our ideas of evolution within a moving study of contemporary youth culture in ways that are both thought provoking and unexpected.
