Rail Travel To Dumfries And Dingwall

For the month of September Scotrail are doing a 2 for £25 deal on return journeys anywhere in Scotland. If you do this for Dumfries then you could save a couple of quid since it's usually £15.80 for a return each.

Tickets can be booked here http://www.scotrail.co.uk/content/get-away-2-%C2%A325-return

As of 20th September the Sainsbury vouchers start again where you can get a return to anywhere in Scotland for £18 return. So that means we can get to Dingwall on 2nd October using this deal hopefully. All you need is a voucher from a Sainsbury store (and I believe last year they gave them away to any customer regardless of how much you spent). As part of the £18 return you also get a free child return if you want to take the kids to the game. Valid until 30th November so it might even save money on a train journey to Dundee but I've not checked out whether that would be much of a saving.

Great! Cheers for posting. I'll have to try to get the Ross County game off, as the trip up last year on the train was very memorable.

Zzzzzzz ... Are you going to wait until we play them in the league up there or will you wait for the semi-final draw tomorrow incase we get an away draw? Zzzzzzz ... :drink2:

Definitely supporters' buses for those destinations ... :drink2:

Buses are to be avoided at all costs - I get the train so I can enjoy a few refreshments. If there's no railway station I stay on the wagon and drive.

Oh, ok then. I forgot you can't take bevvy on supporters' buses these days. :drink2::drink2::drink2: We live in a dumbed-down PC world ... Zzzzzzz
