Easysearch Updates

Recommended Posts

Hello

As those of you who followed this topic on the previous forum will know I like to keep people updated on how much money is being generated through this fundraising scheme. Given this is the first (of many) posts on this topic I have included a link which gives more details on what easysearch is and how it works:

http://thejagstrust.easysearch.org.uk/faq/

The total for all the searches upto and including 22/04/10 is £107.05 - this is very much appreciated by the Trust and we hope that those who have been using this will continue to do so and if others who were not aware of it were to start using it then that would be a great help to us. Thanks for your support :thumbsup2:

As of 03/06/10 the total is £115.39 - a total of £1.50 was raised during the week since the last update so if we can keep up that level the Trust would benefit to the tune of £78 per year. Although this doesn't sound like a huge amount it does help us with running costs so that the money we raise through other ventures can be directed to things like community initiatives.

Thanks for your continued support :thumbsup2:

The total is now £119.58 as of 24/06/10, this means that in the week since the last update 252 searches have been made which benefit the Trust. Once again we would like to thank everyone who uses this facility to support the Trust and encourage others to give it a try - it doesn't cost you anything and the Trust benefits :thumbsup2:

Has the Trust actually had any money from EasySearch or EasyFundraising?

What happens is that the weekly amounts that are raised through easysearch get added to the easyfundraising total which is split into quarters over the year (Jan - Mar, etc). The Trust receives a cheque for the quarterly total 60 days after the end of the quarter to give time for any amendments to be made, so the cheque for quarter 1 will be received at the end of May/start of June and so on over the course of the year.

The actual amount of money that has been raised since the Trust started using these schemes (about March 2008 I believe) is £1298.76 through easyfundraising & £124.27 through easysearch giving a total of £1423.03 and, as I have often said, we really do appreciate this and thank everyone who has contributed to this total :thumbsup2:

Just good to hear that cash has actually come through. So many of these things promise and then don't deliver!

The occasional 3 figure cheque coming into the Trust coffers at no extra expense really can make a difference. It means that whatever additional fundraising we do is less to cover administrative costs and more to actually doing things like supporting the community initiatives.
