Easyfundraising Information

Recommended Posts

Hello

As you will know (hopefully) easyfundraising is a key fundraising scheme for the Trust which allows us to support community projects and our other efforts. Basically if you do any sort of online shopping (and these days who doesn't) then by registering with easyfundraising and making The Jags Trust your cause you will be raising funds for us everytime you make a purchase online. There is no additional cost to yourself and quite often you can save some money as there are promotional codes available to easyfundraising members.

If you do a lot of online shopping or just one big purchase every year, eg Christmas or a loved one's birthday then we would be very grateful if you could support us by going through easyfundraising. I have included a link which gives details of some of the offers that are running through May.

Thanks for your support :thumbsup2:

Is it the Jags Trust folk in the Glasgow Warriors kiosk at the north end of the JH concourse? It's not at all obvious, if you don't already know it; instead it looks like some kind of Warriors-related information point.

Might be a good idea to get a wee banner or something to temporarily cover up the Warriors sign when that kiosk is actually being used for the Jags Trust, the Centenary Fund, or whatever.

Yep, that's us. We've tried to steer clear of spending your money on this sort of thing, but it's something that we'll give some consideration to, and which I will raise at the next meeting. In general terms, we need to do more to raise the profile of the Trust, and we will be endeavouring to do so over the next 12 months.

Lack of bodies is always going to restrict what we can and can't realistically achieve in that respect, and volunteers are always welcome.

This month's competition is the chance to win a laptop, so if you are going to be making any online purchases this month then please remember to use easyfundraising with the Trust as your chosen group - your efforts are very much appreciated!

I really don't want to sound overly critical on the basis of one short forum post. However, I do find this statement a little off putting in considering joining the trust.

Why would one need to spend money on a sign? Surely a couple of sheets of A1 displaying legibly, " JAGS TRUST - JOIN HERE ", and a few smaller ones elswhere on the J.H. concourse pointing folks in the right direction would suffice the need. Wouldn't even need to obscure the Warrior's display if they had issues with that. Involve the new partnership with the B.B.or the Young Thistle Scheme, by way of artistic competition, if there really is no one currently in the trust who can write clearly.

I understand the trust wishing to present itself as best it can and act in a proffessional manner, but needing to clear with a committee a sign for a recruitment stand where there is an imediate, captive and positively partizan audience is, I suggest, a ridiculous reliance on democratic bureaucracy. And the idea of wasting money on such a "project" is, quite frankly, frightening.

C'mon guys show a bit of ingenuity and initiative.
