For those of you not too familar with easyfundraising you can still raise funds even if you don't purchase anything online. There is a section called Free Funds (link below) which allows you to generate funds for our club when you sign up to receive e-mails from a certain company or take out a free trial of their website for example.

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/deals/raise-funds-for-free/?sort=popular

It would be great if we could get more than the 27 members we currently have and if we really started to raise much more significant funds for the club we all support in 2012 but to do so we need to work together, get other people registered, keep each informed about deals, etc.

Thanks for your support!

With over 1,000 Thistle fans on this forum it should not be too hard for 100 to commit themselves to making 10 searches per day using easysearch. If we could achieve that it would result in £5 being generated per day which could give a maximum of £1,825 per year for our club.

There is a lot of talk on the forum (I suppose that is what it is for) but if a fraction of that talk could be turned in to action which does not cost you a penny and only takes a few moments of your time each day then we really could make a difference to our club.

The most recent amount raised through easysearch was £0.88 (searches up to 29th Dec), thanks to everyone who made a search in this period. We can do better though and if we got a few more people involved and pushed on then we could get through that £1 per week barrier before looking to push on from there. Easysearch costs NOTHING and only takes a few minutes per day to make various searches.

Let us work at getting more funds raised for our club through this initiative so we can make a real difference.

Just a reminder about this month's easyfundraising competition where you can win £250 to spend at Matalan and another £250 which will go to your cause:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/free-competition-uk/2012-01-matalan/

To generate the additional funds that could make a real difference to our club we really need everyone who does any online shopping at all to register with easyfundraising and make wearetistle their cause so that the club we all support can benefit.

Remember that you can use easyfundraising to compare prices on various items before you buy so make sure you are getting the best deal possible and then purchase it through easyfundraising so that our club benefits:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/price-comparison/

If we work together and fully maximise easyfundraising & easysearch then we can make a real difference to our club so lets do it.

As there is not a game to go to today why not use some of that spare time to help generate additional funds for our club by making some searches on easysearch:

http://wearethistlefundraising.easysearch.org.uk/

You could try doing "The Alphabet Game" which is basically searching for something starting with a then b and so on until you have made 26 searches. You could also try just choosing a letter at random then searching for as many words that start with that letter as possible. Either way as long as lots of us try something to help generate additional funds for the club we all support and want to see prosper then that will help to make a difference.

Thanks again for your support!

Now that Christmas is out of the way people start looking at those jobs that have been on the to do list since last Christmas. If you are planning to do things around the house or garden then please have alook at what is available through easyfundraising:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/home-and-garden/

If we can work together then we can make 2012 a year when we raise a good level of additional funds for the club we all support.

At this time of the year you might be planning a clear out or have received some gifts that you didn't really want and some of those could be CDs or DVDs. Instead of just throwing them away you can make some money for yourself and our club through Music Magpie:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/music-magpie/

We are all united in our desire to see Partick Thistle prosper and by working together on schemes like easyfundraising then we can make a real difference to our club so lets make 2012 a great year for easyfundraising.

Given the recent news about our sponsors it would be nice if we could generate additional income for the club we all support through easyfundraising. There is a competition that gives you a chance to win £250 to spend at Matalan and £250 for our cause, there are various free funds you can get without making a purchase and if you do buy something online then a donation is given to our cause.

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/

Let us really work hard to make sure we generate as much income for our club as possible over the next few months as we all want the same thing - a prosperous Partick Thistle.

If you use Tesco to buy your shopping online then you can help raise funds for our cause when doing so:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/tesco-groceries/#36538

The most recent weekly amount raised through easysearch was £0.91 - thanks to everyone who contributed to that and lets now push on over the weeks and months ahead. I have read in other threads that crowds will drop over the remainder of the season (I hope they don't) but even if you don't go to games you can still help our club by maximising the income that can be generated through easyfundraising/easysearch.

If you plan to change your insurance or are looking to get some then see what is on offer via easyfundraising:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/insurance/

We as supporters can make a difference to our club if we work together on initiatives such as easyfundraising & easysearch. In the current financial climate any additional income coming in to our club will be very welcome so lets ensure we maximise the amount that does in 2012.

As they are one of the biggest online retailers there is always the opportunity to generate funds through making purchases with Amazon via easyfundraising:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/amazon/

If we work together with the idea of generating lots of additional funds for our club foremost in our minds then we can make a difference.

If you run your own business or are involved with a society/organisation then yiu probably go through a bit of stationery, you can purchase various items through easyfundraising and help generate additional funds for our club at the same time:

Let us continue to work together so that our club can benefit through additional funds in 2012.

As well as generating funds for our club with your online purchases you can also do so by using easysearch as your search engine. Each completed (going on to sponsored site's webpage) generates 0.5p for our cause, the more people we can encourage to do this on a daily basis then more money will be raised for the club we all support at a time when it is really needed.

You can raise funds for free by signing up for e-mails from certain companies, ordering a SIM card or numerous other things through the Free Funds section of easyfundraising:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/deals/raise-funds-for-free/

We can really make a difference to our club at an important time if we work together and get the full benefits from schemes like easyfundraising (and easysearch).

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/free-competition-uk/2012-01-matalan/

If we keep doing all that we can do maximise the additional funds raised for our club through easyfundraising then we will really make a difference in 2012.

A big part of a company's outgoings is their energy bill so if you are looking to reduce that then please have a look at the offers available through easyfundraising as they could save you money whilst generating funds for our club at the same time:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/business/energy/

All the money raised through easyfundraising/easysearch goes to the club we all support so the more funds we can generate together the better it will be for the club, and that is what we all want to see.

At this time of year and with this sort of weather it is very important to make sure that your car is working well and that you have all the necessary equipment in case something goes wrong. Easyfundraising has a section which covers this so have a look and if you need anything remember that you can help our club by making a purchase through easyfundraising:

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/home-and-garden/motoring/

If we work together then we can make a positive impact on the club we all support.

http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/free-competition-uk/2012-01-matalan/

We can make a positive difference to the club we all support if we use easyfundraising & easysearch as much as possible.

FT, you put a credible amount of effort into promoting this stuff - fair play to you and well done.

However I've just looked at the thread now having forgot all about it for ages. I don't buy a great deal online but is there any way we can promote this to a wider audience - albeit I'm not sure where. If the JT were credible and had a regularly updated website (i.e. one that you would want to visit regularly) then that would have been an option. Ditto the programme. Or leaflets at games. All things that the JT should be doing.

Also, I'm not sure what is being raised through this but it would be good if we could recognise and reward those who use it the most - i.e. quarterly prizes for top three contributors (hospitality, signed shirt etc...). The prizes could be bought from the club with the proceeds from easyfundraising - everyone is a winner.

Thoughts?

The Trust use easyfundraising & easysearch and promote this on their website and in their page in the programme.

I will be contacting the club to see if we can get something put on the website and in the programme. There are also leaflets that can be downloaded from the easyfundraising website which could be distributed at Firhill but we would require volunteers to help with that.

I will post what has been raised by the end of January so people can see how we are doing.

How about a guide on how to use it Martin? Clearly there are one or two don't know how it works?

No problem.

1. Register with Easyfundraising - http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ (the cause name is Wearethistle Fundraising). You will be asked for your name, e-mail address (you can select not to receive e-mails if you don't want them) and a password.

2. Once registered you don't need to do anything until you want to make a purchase online.

3. When you do want to buy something online (lets say from Amazon) you log in to Easyfundraising then in the "Find Retailer" box type Amazon and you will be taken to a page giving details on Amazon (donation rates, special offers, etc) with a link to Amazon's homepage.

4. Click on the link to Amazon and then do your shopping as normal and log off easyfundraising once you are finished with Amazon.

5. A few days later (varies with different retailers) you will get an e-mail from easyfundraising showing your purchase details and the amount that has been generated for Wearethistle.

There is no extra cost to you as the donation to the cause comes from advertising fees paid by the retailers. The above example was for Amazon (the most commonly used retailer) but the process is the same for all the other retailers involved with easyfundraising (you do need to be registered with the retailer as well).

Any further questions just ask.
