Blackpool Jags
I have it on good authority that Sir Reo was as gutted as the Grosvenor Hotel was, a few years back now, when the landmark hotel combusted. It would be entirely improper to infer that Mr Stakis was anything other than a genuine businessman who suffered great misfortune when purchasing premises which went on to succumb to the lurking peril of combustibility. He may have been rich and, frankly, not everybody's cup of tea, but through his hotel chain and casino outlets he provided leisure facilities for which the good folk of the West of Scotland should be eternally grateful. I never found out whether he was buried or cremated...
Lambies Lost Doo
I am amazed at how Cafe India and Creme De La Creme both went up in flames as a result of fires started in their Chapati ovens. Cafe India moved to Merchant City with Tesco Metro and flats in the old site. Creme De La Creme replaced by Tesco Metro and flats. Dr Watson? Rid Skwerr
I understand that these unfortunate and mysterious conflagrations are known in the insurance trade as - "The Glasgow Solution"
