jagsvayne
I've got some vapid thick headed Rangers fan telling me off saying our "Hello Hello" song (which I find to be more comedic than anything) is wildly sectarian and is still religiously sung. His proof of this is that he had been to 3, yes 3, games this season and has apparently heard it. One such occurrence was at the 5-0 Morton game apparently. Anyone remember this? I was at the game and don't remember it being sung. Some help would be nice finishing this off once and for all.
Smurph
It's sung quite often...

cjptfc
It's sung quite often... It's not sung often enough. It should get an airing at every game, it's my favourite.
Blackpool Jags
It's not sung often enough. It should get an airing at every game, it's my favourite. Hear hear. It's regularly sung, although not regularly enough, and it's profoundly anti-sectarian, as befits PTFC.
PaleGreySky
Sectarian: Deniting or concerning a sect. How can it be sectarian when the point of the song is the dismissal of and disassociation with BOTH sects? What are we sectarian about, atheism? Tell him he has a lot bigger things to worry about just now than Partick Thistle songs.
KAWB
Hows it sectarian? It just says we hate them and f**k them. Whats wrong with the truth? It's not calling them dirty F*****n B@****ds, h*ns. IRA, loyalists or anything that old firm songs contain. Just have a laugh at you pal, his club's going down the plughole. Tom Stronach
If I remember correctly, the authorities investigated our song and deemed that it is not sectarian. Tell him that and if he's still not having it, simply bless yourself. They don't like that for some reason. Failing that, just deck him. In fact, as suggested, you could just deck him

Jagtastic
Really? I hadn't heard that. When abouts did they investigate it? I've got a photo of an article from 2006 in which both the SFA and Nil by Mouth call it a "parody sectarian behaviour of other club's fans" and "based on irony rather than any attempt to be sectarian"
McKennan
Arguably two wrongs don't make a right, and if we're singing about effing the heads of two major Christian denominations then, yes, the song is sectarian.

Never thought of it like that. So from a Christian point of view the song could be deemed sectarian if sung by non Christians. Where's Rodmac when you need him?
