TMJ
Eh, I don't think that the singing from the North stand is being played over the sound system at the ground. From where I sit in the JH, the sound comes from the old stand office wall, and not from the speaker system, behind me. Could it be, that the delayed singing is traveling from the north stand and bouncing back from the office wall, as there are (aheem) not enough bodies in the ground to absorb the sound? 1971
As we don't play in a cave, no this isn't what is happening. I really hope the piped noise idea has been shelved for tomorrow.
TMJ
Eh, thanks for pointing it out, but if you listen to the direction of the sound-it comes to the JH from the wall of the office of the old stand, and not from the speaker system. Has the club admitted to replaying the singing over the sound system? No

TMJ
If you are correct, it's cringing, and it's got to stop.

Agreed. I hate the idea of a manufactured atmosphere at Firhill. It's never been needed before and we don't need it now.
Lenziejag
I am not too sure. The JH was pretty quiet today. Was it because the game was done after 10 mins or because the North Stand atmosphere wasn't getting piped in ?
jagfox
Could hear the tannoy in the Northy today. I think that suggests that the feed to the Jackie Husband has been stopped. Really enjoying the atmosphere in the Northy. What is the rough attendance in there on a Saturday? 300? johnnylambieslovechild
Lets hope all the singers are in the same area against Falkirk for what is a huge game, the Morton game with everyone spread out was awful.

potty trained
Was talking to a lad who sits bang in the middle of the JHS. He never heard the piped sound at any point this season... And yesterday thought the sound coming from the north stand was the loudest it's been.

The Main Stand
The atmosphere in the North Satand on Saturday was brilliant. Looks like we've found our "12th man". More should come over. It's a good laugh in there. Made me realise how bad the atmosphere used to be at Firhill.
johnnylambieslovechild
I suggest for Falkirk that the singers all try and sit at say the top right of the stand as they did at Cowdenbeath? With a bit of luck that will stop another day like Morton
