  1. I was being a little vague in fairness, yes Erskine is exciting but I felt there were times his anticipation could have been a lot better. Buchanan was more lively today than I remember, then again I've not seen us for a wee while now.
  2. Thought we could have won that today. Once again Erskine was flat footed and never anticipated and left us high and dry for yet another week. I haven't seen us for a few weeks but thought Hodge was the poorest I've seen for a while although he isn't helped much when we've got two one-footed fullbacks. Should have been a red card for the pullback on Rowson - he was clean through and the referee shat out of giving it. Defence was a bit shaky at times and the players looked a bit reluctant to close down. That said, Fox was absolute fantastic today, deserved his man of the match, very confident when coming out of his box and his ability to really kick well with both feet is a big boost for us. On another note, it was encouraging to see that we have raised £50,000 of this £100k figure that Beattie was talking about the other week thanks to Billy Allan getting us a sponsorship deal. Hopefully this will be start of us moving onwards oin this front and we can get this 'bright future' on the go very soon.
  3. Does this mean that if approved the stand will be built before the flats/offices or at the end?
  4. Thought it was a deserved win that could have been perhaps a bit more convincing. We looked no bad in the first half, getting forward with some slick passing and moving. Erskine impressing the most throughout. Into the second half and Stirling came back into it a wee bit before Cairney's drive gave us the lead looked relatively comfortable until we ineexplicably allowed Smith to score against us again and were very lucky not to be 2-1 down when Comvalius (?) hit the post with an effort almost identical to Smith's. Donnelly put us back in front with a late goal on the break before Grehan sealed it in stoppage time. Few other points though 1. Paul McHale's attempted assault on Liam Buchanan was a ******* disgrace. 2. We looked pretty solid at the back a few odd shaky problems but Kinniburgh and Archie done alright. 3. Chris Erskine was really impressive today along with Paul Cairney, probably say Erskine was MOTM for me 4. First time seeing Fox and was impressed enough, although he didn't have too much to trouble him today.
  5. Just me who though McChrustal wasn't actually THAT bad
  6. Lucas Akins has no end prodfuct whatsoever. Total donkey. Morrow wasn't very good either but he had his fair share of injuries so I guess he can't really be blamed for that I guess.
  7. You see the pint I am trying to make though, the players will sill be there if we let McCall go. Onl;y way they'll grow in confidence is if we get behind them. I know they aren't the best but we aren't exactly flush with cash to bring in new ones.
  8. I agree with you, but, in all honesty with the injury he has he can only get worse. But he's been low on confidence for a while and that goal yesterday clearly meant a lot to him [from the photos of the the celebrations] we need to get behind the players, which I can understand is hard given recent performances but they're all we've got and I would rather grudgingly put my support behind them than having their heads drop because our fans are fickle and only turn out after they do a decent job when no one is there. We may want McCall out, but the players will probably still be there when/if he leaves and we can't do anything but encourage them and praise them when they play well.
  9. I think they might get docked points for the non-patment of wages as well as admin not sure if it's one week or two but non-payment of wages without explanation will see them get a wee deduction on top of admin.
  10. Cairney and Hodge have declined rapidly after one point in two seperate games in my opinion. Hodge since that 2-2 game up in Dingwall, I recall him being hooked at half time or early in the 2nd I can't quite remember and from there I don't remember him ever being as good as he was up to that point. and I've felt since that game up at Inverness when the entire team was ill Cairney hasn't quite been the same since, somewhat akin to when Marko went down with that illness at Dundee and how that severely effected him. Cairney has had some good games since then I will admit but for me theres been a bit of something missing from him since that game.
  11. I was wondering what that was at the far end of the stand today. Absolutely shocking behaviour and completely unacceptable. Hope that those who had a go late rrealise how foolish they were.
  12. Witteveen was only on loan and he, like Adams and Misun have apparently been sent back to their parent clubs.
  13. One of my Dunfermline fan mates [the club Photographer] just sent me a piece off their forum regarding a conversation two Pars had with our esteemed manager before the game on Saturday. ...Nah, I've told them all I need to.. Not like our Ian to say such things eh?
  14. Speaking to one of my Pars' mates he says Cardle and Gibson are major doubts after their midweek game and that David Graham is out for them. Really big chance to take some points here.
  15. After seeing those highlights, I noted these points 1) Liam was unfortunate to be booked for diving and it was a clear penalty 2) Queen's two goals were exceptional strikes, the first one was better than the second if I am being honest. 3) It looked an improvement v Stirling. 4) Says a lot about the defence that it took two very good efforts to beat us. 5) A bit encouraged but nowhere near confident for Saturday in any way, shape or form.
  16. Thought we treated this game like another pre-season friendly for a lot of this game, never really exerting ourselves and being far to stringent with our movement of the ball. The opener was a comedy of errors, Hutchison was a bit nervy in the opening exchanges and was rounded by Buchanan who then managed to scuff the shot into the open goal and nearly miss. Clyde's equaliser was a really good strike from Strachan, always thought despite his off the field transgressions that he stil had a bit of his ability about him. Although questions will have to be asked about the defending, Willie Kinniburgh again caught the wrong side of his man. The game was very much controlled by Clyde in the middle of the park and them really stopping us from doing anything though Halliwell was also largely untested. Our winner was a deflected strike from Ryan MacBeth, and we could have added more, the introduction of Grehan for Liam really gave us the impetus to drive on and get a very laboured win
  17. Killie mate of mine said he was pish in the SPL but good in the reserve league, also said he wasn't a winger as well, but we really could do with that width on the right hand side of midfield. Hope we sign him up. Any other comments on how we played today?
  18. Wasn't too sure when I seen the OS pictures, but looking at it in those pics on THW it's a grower and I will be purchasing it as soon as I can
  19. A good player when fit but thought he was never really 'fit' he looked to be carrying a bit of weight at the start of the season against Berwick but never really lost it as he was still short of fitness right through the season IMO. But this leaves us very thin on options out wide with Cairney, a converted right mid who is more comfortable in the middle and Erskine our only out and out winger if you can call him that on the left. Wonder what tricks McCall has up his sleeve.
  20. I asked in Greaves the other day and the guy I was talking to said it's to be the same template as the Ivory Coast away kit. Link
  21. By looking for someone who is already an established coach?
