  1. I'd gladly see Aberdeen drop points...........if I knew for sure we'd do Celtic.
  2. Re the SFA statement about previous allocations Thompson has quite correctly stated that each game should be taken on it's own merits and in this case there is big interest due to there being a bit of needle lately between the clubs. The United fans probably 'smell blood' on the pitch and want to be there to see it in the event that they turn them over. When Rangers went to Manchester, if you believe the figures quoted, over 200k were there and every single one of them (who wasn't in the clink by kick off) would have bitten your hand off for a ticket. I'd be surprised if their early home games were even remotely close to selling out. As I said, each game is different.
  3. If today's Warner allegations are true, he should be going to the jail.
  4. Well, one needs the money (desperately), but I get your point re their nobilty.
  5. Was it ever explained by anyone at the SFA just why they felt they had to announce the venues when they did? The choice of final venue at that time was also ridiculous given that Celtic would have been the choice of most people if asked to name a team they thought most likely to be one of the finalists. Obviously it didn't work out that way but the SFA got lucky with that one.
  6. They were very unlucky in that United's first goal was miles offside....twice. Such a shame.
  7. I assume the 10/11 was over 90 mins? Hope you weren't too tempted!
  8. Aye. Hopefully that's their heads down.
  9. As long as goal difference is a factor (albeit ridiculous in this case) the game wouldn't be regarded as a title winner. I'm hoping for Aberdeen to beat Killie and County (for more than one reason) and if they do there will be no party at Firhill. The County game is the night before our game against them so as long as Aberdeen beat Killie the week before I don't anticipate a suspiciously large rush of tickets being bought for the home end.
  10. I'm hoping to get a Blades end ticket for the semi final as they're my English team and I'm in London that weekend. They've got 5 or 6 Scots playing for them
  11. Is it? I'm just getting a white screen with "error getting text" I'm viewing it on my phone. Not sure if that makes a difference.
  12. Your 1977 link doesn't appear to be working. What info was in these books? How many pages did they run to?
  13. You're probably correct, but it wouldn't make it factually true. I'm sure if you were talking to an Airdrie fan he'd say he'd supported them all his days, not that he'd supported Airdrieonians, Airdrie United and Airdrieonians.
  14. As a matter of fact the seat I bought isn't that good as the view of the pitch is a bit restricted by the yellow barriers at the top of the stairwells. The point is I have a card with that seat number on it but It appears I could be entering the stadium using the same card but for a different seat entirely. Do you have to print off your receipt every time you purchase an all ticket game so you've got something to show what seat you've booked if it isn't the one on your plastic card? The way I thought this would work when I realised I had been sent a seat specific card would be a certain perood of time to buy that ticket before the public sale but obviously not.
  15. I'm a bit confused about how these fancards are supposed to work. I bought one for the joint Killie/St. Johnstone deal and selected a seat from the plan shown on the website. I then received the card in the post complete with the seat number printed on it, the same as season tickets. I haven't made a game at Firhill since due to work but I'll be going to the Celtic game. When I log in to my account it appears that it isn't linked to the seat number I bought previously and I can purchase any seat I want. Is this the way it's supposed to work? My seat is still showing as available at the moment so what happens if someone comes along while I'm typing this long winded post and registers for a new card and buys my seat? Does my seat only show as available as I'm logged in but will show as not available to anyone else? If it is supposed to be the case that a fan card holder gets first dibs on their own seat, when is the deadline? So many questions, many of which are redundant at a 'sit where you want' game such as the Hibs one, but the Celtic game is a different scenario.
  16. It's blocked on my iphone in Schottland.
  17. Worst bit is if we're awarded a penalty. Refresh button gets hammered for about 5 mins until the outcome is posted!
  18. Just to be a bit of a pedant, the Hibs game is a fortnight later as we are idle the week after the County game due to the cup. Thought I'd point it out in case you're making plans to go to Firhill on the 8th.
  19. 3:28 - 3:30 FTOF. Firhill forever!
  20. Genuinely surprised at that to be honest. Had it in my mind a new strip was an annual thing.
  21. We've had a new one every season in recent times, have we not? Seems to be the norm for most clubs nowadays.
