  1. I'd like to correct one small thing, if I may? Ronnie said he expected to make a loss. Norman said that any profit banked would be placed in a charitable trust.
  2. And Scally. The poor guy's in serious danger of being completely overlooked.
  3. Spin and counterspin. In the past two pages alone I've read a load of nonsense from folk presenting the case for both sides. God knows what I'd find if I was to look back any further. As Firhillista says, unless any of us are selling shares then the decision is outwith our control. I don't think anyone is doing 'their' cause any good here.
  4. We also had the likes of Welsh, Forbes and Muirhead chipping in. A very special team.
  5. Not really. McNamara signed Craig and then Archie signed Taylor. It's the gap between that and McDonald that cost us. What we really need is other members of the playing squad to start contributing in numbers. Goals were pretty evenly spread between forwards, midfielders and defenders the season we won the league, iirc.
  6. Seven in 14. That's league and cups. Four in the cups, three in the league. One against higher opposition, three against lower opposition and three against our peers.
  7. The text I received said that White outjumped Saunders. No blame apportioned to Fox.
  8. Oh well...two assistant managers it is.
  9. McCall worked with Scally and Sandy Stewart at Ayr. My guess is Archie as #2 with Scally as first team coach
  10. He signed them on someone else's recommendation. Not having a dig, just stating the facts. The great Bobby Dinnie is too often overlooked when the signing of Doolan and Erskine crops up.
  11. Hardly a fraud when he's currently averaging a goal every two games.
  12. I've said it elsewhere, so I'll say it here, too...the last year has been f*cking mental, so let's hope this is the first step towards stability. I backed Caldwell's appointment and willed him to turn things around, but it was becoming more and more reminiscent of the Dick Campbell era. Friday's game was the straw that broke the camel's back. Add to that the takeover saga and infighting (guilty as charged) and it's no surprise that some of us were a little...distracted. I'm looking forward to regaining and maintaining my focus on supporting the team.
  13. I don't think Miller will give a sh*t as long as he's getting paid and scoring goals.
  14. You can save the PMs. You've offered to speak to me at Firhill and I'm happy to do so. Just so I'm clear, though, you're admitting to having had that figure but saying you didn't pass it on to anyone? I received that message weeks before statements were issued by Mr Beattie and the Jags Trust, btw.
  15. If we're highlighting statements made by boards then it's worth remembering we were told by representatives of the current board in August that it had no issues with the way the previous board ran the club and that changes were made to facilitate the sale. The only people that seem to be hinting at financial armageddon are Mr Beattie, the Jags Trust and, apparently, some people in messages to other fans. I appreciate that it's been suggested that there would've been a shortfall this year (I don't think a figure has ever been presented) and that's now been covered. But surely any concerned shareholders could've had that discussion with the previous board rather than going to the lengths of having members removed?
  16. What happened to the £600k loss you were messaging people about in June? Or were you expecting that to appear in next year's accounts?
  17. Zanatta's a special player on this showing.
