  1. Well that's another argument and it's the boards job to source an appropriate and suitable replacement.
  2. Have to agree wholeheartedly. And before all the happy clap brigade on here pounce look at the facts - 5 points from a possible 45 one win in 15? Games. Two clean sheets all season, no home win. No plan b or alternative system. Two defenders in management team and today was schoolboy defending to say the least. We have a chance if we change now. We are not done yet but carry on this vein n we r down. Also regarding January recent history suggests Archie won't get it right in jan based on his summer signings. Give a new manager the jan window. Club legend yes but no room for sentiment in this league.
  3. Got a spare ticket for today if anyone wants it. My brother can't make it so don't want the season ticket going to waste.
  4. That's an excellent point if we go down we ain't coming back up again for a while.
  5. Think we have to take heart from that result today. Haven't seen any of the game so can't comment on our performance but a point at Easter road is a decent result, especially when most ppl namely the super scoreboard panel, saw it as a home banker. Obv gutting to lose 2 points in those circumstances but come on guys we are joint 7th and looking up the way again. Two very winnable games coming up too.
  6. If this Is true then great piece of business. Great servant but we can't turn this kind of money down. And considering we hadn't budgeted for it the entire sum should go to Archie for the signings we need in January.
  7. Firstly I decided as early as during the week that I'd sit this one out. Both clubs need to take a long hard look at themselves charging full price for a cup game live on tv on a Sunday lunchtime. Another incipid and tame performance from a team that as others have said elsewhere look beaten. Defensively we looked better the goal aside and Osborne seemed to give us that solidity at the back. Piccolo deserves to keep his place for me after a solid performance. This was mark Kerrs chance to stake his claim for a place in the team and he offered nothing and also for me craigan needs taken out the team for a bit, vastly improved player but just needs a break. Up front well where do u begin, no shot on goal til the 80th minute just about sums it up with higgy the only real threat in that department. Neil McCann said in commentary that the doolan for Baird change was useless without changing the system n he was spot on. Oh and Elliot needs a run of games as he looked lively today. Really can't c where the next win or point comes from at the moment .
  8. I'd take balde in a heartbeat but defo can't see us getting a guy they paid 7 figures for sadly.
  9. In a word no. Listened to the jags cast from the meet the manager night and maxi made the point that he's prob worth more to us if his contribution keeps us up.
  10. This. I've been thinking exactly the same. Surely we all recall the wee spell just after Archie took over where we were stuffy n disciplined n saw out a good few one nils. I'm almost sure this kind of approach would do the trick just to settle us a bit n get some much needed points on the board. I'm not saying resort to kick n rush but let's be a little more conservative n dig in a bit more.
  11. As far as the play off spot goes, I fancy Ross county to end up in 11th spot and have done for a while. They are rank and think they will suffer the 2nd season syndrome.
  12. Not sure who but was thinking after today we really need an older more experienced head at the back just to steady things a bit. Muirhead and balatoni on their day are first picks but were leaking goals right now.
  13. Just want to echo what a few others have said. Aberdeen are a really good side this season, they've always had the potential to be so and now they have a very good manager in Mcinness who will take them to 2nd place come may of that I'm sure. No disgrace going up and losing four goals and as many have said we didn't play as badly as some are making out, we were just beaten by the more clinical and experienced team. I said after the last game v the dons that the big difference is that Aberdeen are so much more streetwise than us and it showed last night. Big and strong at the back and very physical and hard working middle up front. However st mirren on Saturday - a totally different game and I can honestly see this being the doing we all know has been coming at home
  14. The worst draw possible as many have said. At least we won't go into expecting too much so you never know. Just please god no replay.
  15. I thought this merits it's own thread. The big man was a stand out by a country mile and bossed that midfield from start to finish. He was everywhere all afternoon n seemed to pop up every time with a crunching but fair tackle. Didn't give Lesley n brown a minutes peace all afternoon. Which leads me to my main point and concern, surely we can't hold onto him in January
  16. Well said the cup. Sick and tired of the self righteous idiots on this forum taking the moral high ground. You've summed it up perfectly, he behaved like an idiot n has apologised to all parties and knowing the boy personally I know it's cliche but he's not that kind of lad.
  17. Archie was great value tonight. Simple but articulated and thoughtful analysis of the season so far and where we are going. Made so much sense re the Steven Craig issue and clearly Chris duggen is in his thoughts.
  18. It would be typical thistle to go up to the highlands and win. Think we can nick a point from the tims. Optimistic I know.
  19. Solid enough performance there. Doolan took goal well but was miffed at higgy being subbed to be honest. However a point just about the right result.
  20. If Killie go down they will seriously b looking at crowds of around 1000 and they wouldn't bounce straight bk up either.
  21. Peagreenboy makes a good point. How on earth Killie survive year on year is beyond me. Their crowds are horrendous yet they seem to plod on every year paying not too bad wages either I think.
  22. Bolton want to recall Gary but he doesn't want to go.
  23. Have to agree with will jag. Bannigan is one of those guys you can rely on week in week out. He like every professional footballer will have bad days but as will jag said solid as they come with Stuart.
  24. Honestly Cleveland steamer show some dignity resorting to insult prices you know your wrong You blindly defend Baird it's quite amusing but hey whatever turns you on
  25. Haha conveniently eh. Well away you go and stop spouting nonsense when you've only seen the guy once. There are those of us who have seen him on his 3/4 opportunities to impress and he has done the square root of heehaw. We are allowed to be upset when a waster like that starts ahead of doolan. Granted doolan hasn't exactly hit the ground running this season but he is ten times the player Baird is!!
