  1. I e-mailed the club last week with similar points regarding ST's and got a reply saying it would be forwarded to the board and also gave the reason for the £25 charge was to stop adults reserving seats next to friends. I still don't think that reason is valid, particularly when it would be so easy to see which U16 cards (and seats they relate to) are actually being used at the turnstile and the fact there are thousands of empty seats every week. I didn't get a ST last season for a couple of personal financial reasons (moving house & going on holiday during the summer meant the wife wouldn't have been best pleased with my purchase!) but have put the money aside with the intention of buying this year. I won't be bothering to though as I don't see why I should give the club early funds when what I'm being offered isn't particlularly attractive. The way I'm looking at it, I'm basically being asked to cough up the money for my ST, then I can choose between paying £50 to reserve seats for my kids wherever we like or choose to sit in rows C-M of Section 7 where my young kids will inevitably get soaked on days when the weather is poor. There are thousands of empty seats at every game. It makes much more sense for me to go online prior to each home game I can make, choose available seats I like the look of and pay for the single ticket for me and get the kids for free. This also advantages me over the course of the season as I can't make every game due to other commitments. Also, as I didn't have a ST last season I'd have been looking to take advantage of the early bird offer. However, it ends at the exact same time as the renewal date/time for those wishing to reserve the same seat as last season. So if I'm buying a ST I can choose a seat which isn't already reserved by someone or, if I want to wait to see what seats become available from those not renewing, I'll need to pay a higher price. Regarding the OF seating arrangements, I wouldn't have a problem moving for these games if it is financially beneficial for the club (although probably not to the tune of £250,000 I reckon it will bring in more money). I can see why those who have been in the NS for years won't be happy with being moved if a ST holder got priority over the seat they normally go to but that's the advantage of having an ST - you get prioritised in every instance. To work out which PATG NS punters are most desercing of retaining their place is too subjective and would cause too much hassle. Give ST's their preferred option then a free for all for remaining tickets makes sense to me.
  2. Actually, no. I really am nosey and I'd just like to know what's happened! I don't even know the story behind McCall so you'll be getting no gossip from me sadly! Again if anyone is kind enough to share the info via DM I'd be grateful. Not desperate enough to know to create a log on for a rangers forum right enough.
  3. I'm nosey. Would be grateful if someone could fill me in via DM. Thanks!
  4. Same story over and over without any lessons being learnt. Trying to protect a one goal lead, throw it away in 2nd half by sitting deeper and deeper. Too many players just not good enough last night and we have nothing on the bench to come on and change the game. It definitely is starting to seem that we don't put the same effort in when we're expecting to win. Fox punching was woeful last night and a couple he could've caught but chose not to. He's either lacking confidence or off form. Either way, Galls should be in (particularly when Seabourne is out). What was Balatoni doing for the first goal? Should've never let his man come across the front of him. He should've been between ball and player and coming to meet the ball, not running straight towards our goal. CB's were all over the place, we didn't close anything down quick enough in midfield and our passing, distribution and movement throughout the team was awful. Lots of talk previously about the players just needing experience at this level, etc. As well as the players obviously not learning lessons the problem undoubtedly also lies with the management. We're continuing to show tactical naivety when teams change their tactics and when making subs. Part of the problem with the subs though is there's no real quality on the bench to bring on.
  5. The issue for me isn't paying for kids. It's more the fact it's been decided by the SPFL that £18/£12 is an acceptable price for League Cup R3 match, midweek, 4 days after the same clubs have played each other at the same venue. Now I appreciate that the SPFL probably take the view that if that's a problem, the clubs should've had the sense to sort it out. That doesn't make their pricing fair though. Just because we have the luxury of Kids Go Free doesn't mean everyone should just stump up any price decided for cup games in my opinion. Would you suggest £15 for U16's at cup games is still OK because we have kids go free at league games? £18? £20? I know you probably don't mean any price should be accepted but my point is everyone will have their own opinion about what the price should be. My opinion is on this occassion, under these circumstances, the prices are too high.
  6. Agree completely that a decision like this coming from the SPFL would be unsurprising. Most clubs can't be too bothered about it though or I'm sure they would have made a point of getting the prices changed (I'm assuming if the min. prices are already set they'll be agreed with/set out to clubs each season). My point was mainly, if this is a set minimum pricing, would Morton V Thistle failing to agree pricing, or even if two League 2 sides can't agree pricing, it's automatically £18 & £12? If not and there are other minimum price bands, what's the criteria for each band? Surely competition and stage of competition would also be taken into account. Perhaps even projected attendances (dependant on midweek/weekend, etc). Also, have any other clubs had to go down this route recently for failing to agree pricing? Would be interesting to find out where the fault lies on this occasion.
  7. I wonder who at the SPFL came up with those as the minimum prices. Do the minimum prices change depending on what league the clubs are in or stage of the tournament? Surely it would make sense to have lower prices in early rounds, rising towards the later rounds? I can't justify spending £42 for me and the two kids to go to a LC 3rd round tie (particularly on a school night!) and I'm sure the price will put others off. It would be interesting to know the proposals put forward by both clubs which couldn't be agreed. Surely something like £15 & £5 would've benefitted both clubs (even if not that much financially then from a support point of view) as opposed to what they have now.
  8. Too late for me. They've had their chance. The 'timetable' for when we can get more devolved powers hasn't been guaranteed by the Conservatives, it's merely a possible process. It's been thought up in the last few weeks by a No campaign who realise many people are seeing through their scare tactics. If it was the intention to give us more powers then why hasn't it happened anyway? Devo-max would have been my preferred option ( I was intending to vote no to begin with) but it's clear that a no vote won't bring anything near Devo-max. Any powers we receive after a no vote will be minimal and sadly i can see things becoming worse for Scotland. I hope not, but I think some in WM might take the view ' they voted no, we can do what we want'. I think the result won't be as close as they are predicting, possibly 55-58% in favour of no, but I'm of the opinion we are missing a massive opportunity. Whatever the result, it has to be respected and we need to move forward using all the energy of recent campaigning to continue to hassle WM for better conditions for Scotland.
  9. Your figures aren't correct. At the last Scottish elections the SNP received 45% of the popular vote (L32%, C14%,LD8%). Although not +50% they were preferred to any other party by a long way. Comparing this to the last General Election where the Conservatives came 4th in Scotland yet are in charge of our affairs, with the Lib Dems propping them up who came 3rd (L42%, SNP20%, LD19%, C17%). Our Scottish Parliament is much closer to what the people in Scotland voted for in the Scottish election than what he have been given in Westminster despite the Scottish results in the General Election. Overall in the UK, Conservatives only received 36% of the popular vote (less than what SNP received in the Scottish Elections). It's also important to remember that no-one actually voted for the coalition. It's fair to say the majority of Conservatives will have been ok with it as it leaves them in power but there were many Lib Dem voters left disillusioned with their party for the deal they made. For me, my decision in the referendum mainly comes down to who runs our affairs. We have a devolved Parliament who are given some money to run parts of our society. We are now being told by parties in WM there will be more powers to Scotland but they won't tell us what they are. We have a chance to take control of everything. No need to rely on the 'promises' of these other parties. We as a people can decide exactly what we want to do in our country, without being affected by how people in England decide to vote. I am under no illusions as to how risky this is and to the fact that we won't see the benefits of a Yes vote until maybe 15 or 20 years down the line. However, it's a risk worth taking compared to what we're being given at the minute.
  10. Anyone know if the seat printed on the ticket needs to be where you sit? Will PATG fans be given a seat or are all Hearts' tickets printed this way and it doesn't matter where you sit? Pretty sure there was no reserved seating at last game but I didn't have a ticket anyway.
  11. Woodside it is. Thanks for the replies folks!
  12. Off at a tangent but my question isn't worth starting a new thread for. Does anyone know the closest pub(s) to the ground which allow children and what time they open on Sunday?
  13. I thought it was the photo under 'all this fog' you were referring to until I scrolled further down!
  14. Officially 1528 yesterday.
  15. So... Is this something that can happen???
  16. Has there been any precedent set before in an incident like this? Be interesting to see if every red card for a headbutt also incurred an additional ban.
  17. I still have one ticket going spare. Off to bed so if interested, PM me and I'll be in touch as soon as I can. Will be leaving Glasgow 10.30 or 11 tomorrow but am available before that. Thanks.
  18. I have one spare adult ticket. East stand. Face value. PM me!
  19. Anyone know why the Forever and Ever video and article on OS talk about the future of our club starting at 7pm? Should we get there early for something special?
  20. 2-0 and we fecked it up. Hugh Murray is a total liability. Gutted.
  21. That was rather unnecessary. He clearly stated large flags, obviously meaning the flags normally hung in the North Stand.
  22. Yeah, there's no way there's 27 rows. I think I'd have a better view from the roof than where I'll be sat!!!
  23. Row AA. Got a feeLing that's going to be exceptionally rubbish. Any ideas anyone?
  24. Morton did play very well today. They were always a threat going forward and could easily have scored another couple. Their midfield broke up play and kept the ball well meaning their defence had virtually nothing to do. I would say however, a part of this has to be how abysmal Airdrie were. A few of their fans were saying it was the worst perfomance of the season (and they've already had some stinkers). There was no fight or passion, defence was shocking, no creativity going forward, they looked lost in possession and continually gifted the ball back to Morton. I'm confident we'll pose a much bigger threat next week and doubt Morton will have the space and time they were allowed today. Should be a cracker. I'd take a draw.
  25. That was with a few Jags fans going along too! Very poor but not surprising with the way Airdrie are playing and Morton don't seem to travel in large numbers very often.
