And if there is anybody out there who hasn't yet run their fingers through the warm, soothing waters of sponsorship, this could be your last chance. Ripples never come back.
Thank you scotty & Sunnylaw.
Hope Archie is reading this. Can there be a bigger incentive for the players to do the business today?
So, on the understanding that only if the Jags win today will this go ahead, can we have 7 more pledges please.
The item about the football giveaway has gone from the OS. The evening before the game instead of enticing us with a free, artist designed football, the club have chosen to highlight the opening of the old programme stall. Bizarre marketing strategy.
Oh, elevenone, you're good. Very good.
If we win, I'll take the pledge. No, sorry, didn't mean that. If we win, I will accept all pledges made. Come on guys, in anticipation. Let's do it.
In fact I like this so much, I'm in for £20.
You should take a look at the OP on the Player Sponsorship thread to see who got that phenomenal effort going.
TBH, sitting at home keeping a spreadsheet up to date is easy. I am full of admiration for those who turn up week in, week out selling half time draw tickets and raising hundreds of pounds for the club every match day.
On the subject of sitting at home, signing up for easyfundraising is easy and fundraising.
While I'm here though, there seems, as Rid Skwerr suggested, to be a shortage of virgins around at the moment...
Not sure what to expect when this giveaway was announced but I think this is great. Tremendous proactive move by the club's sponsor. Team is struggling, crowds are down, income dropping. Hand out 2,000 footballs designed by a San Fransisco graffiti artist. Quite brilliant.
So far 1.5 votes for Ryan Edwards, 0.5 vote for Robbie Muirhead and 1 vote for Kevin Nisbet. For the record, all away tops and all doubling up on existing players.
Any more votes? I need to wrap this up by tomorrow afternoon.
For the record, here is our current squad.

Scot Whiteside isn't on the list. I assume because he has signed as a Development squad player.
Ok, eleventh toppers, who do you fancy?

At the moment we don't have a player. I will contact the club on Monday, hand over the dosh, get updated list and get back to you lovely lot.
Thank you all so much.
Meanwhile...
Calling all virgins.
Have you seen the prediction competitions springing up, seemingly at random? Think you could do better? Are you wishing that you had pledged some cash to enable you to take part?
Tell you what we'll do. Let's have a twelfth top, sponsored entirely by virgin pledgers. Who is going to start it off?
Be warned, if you have pledged before I will put your name in my spreadsheet under thirteenth top. Let's see how many new faces we can entice. I must be bloody bonkers.
