  1. Reckon he could soak up a lot of pressure.....
  2. Exactly my point Mr B....the minority line is a total myth ...if the league had any balls it would have a zero tolerance attitude to this with points deductions for offenders. It would be interesting to see how quick this bile stopped if Sky/BT withheld sponsorship monies for games where this chanting was heard
  3. Fair enough....not sure that one side are any better or worse than the other though...genuinely interested to know if it really is only "a small minority" of the self proclaimed greatest fans in the world chanting bigotry and pro IRA songs? For me one as bad as the other - couldn't stomach being amongst either of them whilst playing the Jags.
  4. Hard to think why a team consisting of Andy Thomson, Stephane Bonnes and Jon Paul McBride struggled to keep us up - even our strip was shit that season lol! Harder still to believe AT scored nearly 200 senior career goals !
  5. I don't think it's out of the question for Dundee to win all 3 despite Fridays shambles. Also noticed Killie v Hearts is on Good Friday before we play We RIPeople ..let's hope it's a very good Friday!
  6. I'd be happy to waive design royalties for any future batch
  7. Yep...difficult to brush off a defeat like that
  8. Thoughts are with you and the family AJ.
  9. Would love to know how many non Old Firm domestic matches Strachan has attended during his reign - wouldn't be surprised if it was in single figures.
  10. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/She-Ra https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Shearer Sevco ...couldn't afford either of above ...poor i know
  11. Even now there's no way they could afford Shera
  12. I had exactly the same thought earlier!
  13. Hopefully we'll all be singing Doolton at some point on Saturday
  14. Maybe this quote from the official site commentary gives an insight......
  15. Hayes out for around 10 days according to McInnes on the radio there - hopefully missing for them on Sunday !
  16. Fair point re police advice and suspect that would snooker my preference to have away fans in the JHS. Given our core home support of c2500 I'm not sure it would be that much of a squeeze mind you! I guess when I think back to my favourite times watching Thistle it's the likes of Brockville, Cappielow (not the WDE!), Broomfield and Rugby Park (shed not behind the goal) as well as our "shed" that spring to mind. Give me that anyday over a behind the goals non view at some soulless Legoland stadium. Can you imagine turning up at the theatre and paying the same price for the balcony than the stalls yet we effectively do the same almost every other week when away!
  17. It's a fair point and undeniable that the JHS gives a better view than the NS - and hence arguably the NS should be slightly cheaper. Playing devils advocate though I think there is an even stronger argument for that at Away games where you have no choice but to sit behind the goals at most grounds. At least at Firhill you've got the option of which stand to go for and actively select a worse view by going in NS. I think there is no doubt that modern grounds and health and safety are to blame in part for a poorer atmosphere and knock on drop in crowds. Take Saturday coming for example - we could easily host say 2k Hearts fans in the JHS - wouldn't that make for a better atmosphere and encourage more home AND away fans to come - the latter can even "enjoy" not being obstructed by pillars and covered in bird shit! We also save the cost of opening another stand.
  18. Must be quite some time since a Jags sub last hit a double in a match !
  19. Paul McLaughlin, Davie Irons, George Shaw at Parkhead Sept 1992?
  20. I'll happily take that back once have seen the highlights if wrong - at the game though felt like Saints got a lot more their way than ours and judging by reactions today I don't think I was alone !
  21. Great performance by the boys and well backed by a more than decent away support. Always good to beat 12 men - a shocker from Steven McLean. Hadn't realised McDiarmid had become such a hostile place to go ...fair petrified of the "Ultras" ...
  22. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/38939432
  23. This 100% - I don't get the mentality we see mainly in FA cup re wholesale changes. Best team from the off, get the game won then make any changes needed.
