I will go out on a limb and say that neither Higgy nor Lyle Taylor will be playing in the Championship next season which is where Hearts and probably Hibs will be. If either of them do then Allyo will run down Firhill Rd naked before the first home game next season.

Ann Budge was recently warning fans that Hearts would be cutting their cloth accordingly next season to ensure they don't end up in financial troubles again. Surely this wouldn't involve signing contracted players from the league above for a transfer fee and then paying them £200K+ a year to play in the Championship. Only complete idiots would nearly go out of business for good and then at the next opportunity spaff a fortune on wages to play in the lower leagues.

Everybody knows that football fans don’t mix particularly well. If everyone behaved as they should then we wouldn’t ever need any stewards at all but they don’t and we do and on that basis last night, which always had the potential to go pear shaped, should have been much better managed by the club. At the end of the day if Home and Away support had been kept apart, something which happens at football matches all over the world every week, then we wouldn't be talking about this. Not sure why people are making a fuss about a pitch invasion that happened after the Thistle team had left the pitch and most of the Thistle fans had left the stadium. They were only having a bit of fun and I’m sure they won’t have done a huge amount of damage just running about.

ICT have won once at home since John Hughes took over at the beginning of December, 2-0 against Stranraer in the cup. Still a very capable team though and I'd be very happy with a point.

I don’t think upper league teams will hump them but I very much doubt they will be as successful as the second highest wage bill in the country merits. Thistle would hump them though.

When they insisted on inheriting the old clubs legacy so they could still say they were the most successful team ever in the universe even better than AC Milan and Real Madrid and the Harlem Globetrotters, hopefully that included inheriting their administration history.

Like it or loathe it there’s no denying the SFA have pulled off a major coup here, coverage in all of the papers including reviews in the fashion sections. It’s not often any football strip gets this much media attention let alone a Scotland away kit. I wouldn’t wear it myself but then I’m a grown-up has been with hair growing out of my ears and nose and replica kits are really for wee boys, most of whom will love it.

To be fair, I've been swearing a lot more this season than I did last year. I know who you're talking about though and they have serious anger management issues. They should be referred for psychotherapy. One of them goes absolutely bananas about once every ten minutes.

They play in blue at Ibrox and thousands of numbskulls turn up to shout bigoted bile every time they play, it sounds a lot like Rangers to me. Pretending they aren’t on a technicality is frankly just childish……….but if it winds up Sevco 5088 fans then I’m all for it!

I have some sympathy with the Hearts players on this one. These are teenagers who will not be fully physically developed yet and who would ordinarily be used sparingly at this stage in their careers. They are being asked to play week in week out against fully grown men with little chance of getting substituted never mind left out for a proper rest / recovery and this could have a detrimental effect on the longevity of their playing careers (see Alex Fergusons recent comments regarding Michael Owen). The club should be punished but not to the detriment of the careers of teenage boys who had nothing to do with the clubs financial collapse. Perhaps they could let them register Billy Brown as a player?

Those are some excellent stats which both verify and rubbish my post depending on which way you choose to look at it.

What frustrates me is that this is not completely unforeseeable, it is my understanding that since the sport began in the late 1800’s at least one game of football, if not more have also been abandoned before now. IMHO the club should just set a clear policy on what happens with abandoned matches and like the policy or not, at least then there would be no ambiguity going forward. Also surely budgets could be set taking into account the average number of abandoned matches to be expected in any given season.
