  1. An extra game equals extra money so they've did us a favour with their daft rules this time.
  2. To be fair I don't think his style of football would have suited Sevco's tactics last season of hoofing the ball as hard as you can over the enitire midfields heads towards Lee McCulloch.
  3. Aye it is. Not getting yourself so much into debt that you have sell places in the first team would have been a better idea.
  4. I'm actually annoyed at you for even suggesting this. People don't pay good money for a ticket to watch a ***** with more money than sense indulge his own ego. The FA should be nipping this on the bud pronto, it makes a complete mockery of the sport. The whole point is you play because you're good enough, not because your rich enough.
  5. Building a big stand we don't need is one if the things that got is in trouble in the first place.
  6. If you were annoyed by Paton's tweet then relax, it was just a bit of harmless fun. As far as I'm aware scores of people didn't commit suicide because they thought Doolan was signing for Killie. Doolan is staying, be happy.
  7. He was definitely better than Billy Dodds.

  9. Aye, it was funded by FSR and included several low level stations in an attempt to create a 'ring of steel ' around the city centre to stop fare dodgers I'm lead to believe it's been very successful too in terms of increased ticket revenues.
  10. I'm not entirely sure what that is supposed to be on the t-shirt? It looks as if they have been shot with a paintball gun.
  11. Get painting guys and girls.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_sabc?url=search-alias%3Dtoys&pageMinusResults=1&suo=1367580787117#/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dtoys&field-keywords=paint%20your%20own%20gnome&sprefix=paint%2Ctoys&rh=i%3Atoys%2Ck%3Apaint%20your%20own%20gnome
  12. Having a gnome in your garden is a very political statement in Germany. The represent a very conservative and nationalist outlook. Your more left wing liberal types hate them. It's a huge political divide.
  13. For me, the bing is fine the way it is. The issues are purely aesthetic so unless something can be done cheaply or free then it's really not worth the investment until it becomes economically viable to either build a stand or rule changes permitting, terracing there. Advertising boards is probably the way forward at present as these would hopefully generate funds. I'd rather it was left as is than flatten it. Disposal of spoil isn't cheap and if it was flat the ground would be less enclosed and it may adversely affect the atmosphere. The embankment could even form part of any future construction so we'd effectively be paying to remove future fill materails.
  14. I agree, the policing was terrible, several undesirables around me were shouting "GET AFF THE F*CKING PITCH YA @RSEHOLES" and not one of them was taken into custody for using foul and abusive language.
  15. I disagree. For me the unbeaten run is less important than having our strongest team injury free at the start of next season and giving the opportunity to fringe players to prove their worth. We don’t owe Cowdenbeath anything either. Teams regularly rest players at this stage of the season so if you’re relying on results elsewhere then you only have yourself to blame if they don’t go your way whatever the reason.
  16. I thought the 'Tinywan' pun was quite funny. I'm no fan of supporters of other clubs coming on team forums, places like P&B are there for these type of discussions. Alternatively could we not have a seperate section within teh forum for opposing fans so that people who have no interest in banter with the opposition can just focus on Thistle?
  17. I got one for my old man for Christmas. It's the kind of thing you want but can't really justify spending the money on so is a good thing to get as a gift. They look really good too as have a cool faded look like an old photograph. I tried it on before I gave it to him and almost kept it, I'd never tried a cashmere scarf before, it's unbelievable. If you've never tried one go to John Lewis or somewhere and try one. It's like a little having bit of heaven wrapped around your neck.
  18. I take it it's the 4 matches you didn't drink at that you lost the scarves? You'll just need to drink at them all next year and you'll be fine.
  19. Part of me wants to see us win the league by as many points as possible and see the team we've been watching all season but being sensible about it, then the best teams rest players and use the opportunity to give some experience to youngsters when they're in a similar situation. It would be pretty foolish if one of our first team players broke a leg and missed the start of the season in what is a really a meaningless game for us.
  20. With regards to the issue of U16 away fans getting in for free but our U16's having to pay at their games then this is just something we will have to put up until others see the light and change themselves. If everybody takes a "we'll do it when you do it" approach it'll never happen. We should be proud that we are the first team to step up to the mark instead of being bitter about it.
  21. The kids go free initiative needs to be pursued long term and won't work if we scrap it after a couple of seasons. If in 10 years time the club is seeing no benefit in terms of kids turning into adults through the gates then that's the time to talk about scrapping it. 'Some kids go free' overcomplicates things. If it's universal and easy to understand then people are far more likely to respond to it. Also if it's covered by sponsors (which I understand it is?) then we're not losing anything by doing it.
  22. Were we not playing catch up at the start of the season with the loss of the Glasgow Warriors money?
  23. For me the answer is decent levels of promotion and relegation with play offs and a pyramid system like they do in all the other good leagues. League splits and changing the number of points per game just turn us into a laughing stock. If anybody suggests a funny system and says that's what they do in Belgium or Iraq or Antarctica then that's the exact reason not to do it.
  24. I thought that was a total nonsense today. Once the Falkirk players had gone off there was no reason to not let fans onto the pitch never mind making threats so they'd go and sit down like good little boys and girls befor letting the Thistle players back out. If anything this was counterproductive in terms of health and safety as anyone could see that people were just all going to surge forward again as soon as the team reappeared. I'm not sure why they were worried, it's not like they were going to give the Thistle players a kicking and they couldn't have made that pitch much worse if they'd went on with spades. Jobsworths ruining peoples fun, that's all that was. Good on the everyone for not reacting though and having a laugh with it. The chant of "You're going to do f*c k all" was priceless.
  25. I couldn't agree more, Tell Him He's Pele is a fantastic site. Problem is they won't cover us next season because we're too good for the SFL! And that arsepiece on Scotzine won't write about us either once we've cuffed Celtic a few times. We're going to have no where to read about the Jags!!!
