  1. Think part of the problem is marketing and reach. Our internal regular customer marketing has been much better this year using the internet and social media. Im afraid that is unlikely to generate new customers. I only seen the 2 for £30 deal online so if you don't follow Thistle there or have no access you don't see it. We need to look at things the Warriors and other progressive clubs in Rugby and other sports are doing and try their approach. We were the only Glasgow team yesterday that anyone could effectively watch as Gers were in Dumbarton, if we had reached more neutrals the crowd could have been more as we are a good team to watch.
  2. At the end of the day we have arguably the more committed striker at the club as the other chose to chase the silver dollar. I know who would be in my team every week as his touch is immaculate and he never wastes a ball and gives 100%. He has also had more cause than most to spit the dummy out but always bounces back...!
  3. We were in the bottom six so the last run of league games were much easier.
  4. A signing like McFadden, properly announced and marketed would practically pay for itself with shirt sales and extra bums on seats. I don't see budget being the problem, more like our internal marketing. Id like to see us take a punt if having him round improves the rest of the squad and gets us a few extra points than we would have otherwise t the end of the season.
  5. My cheque arrived too. Good couple of jaggy days for me..!
  6. This appears to be a common issue. I'm awaiting a cheque too. hopefully will arrive for Xmas.
  7. 70's badge for me, just the Thistle, no words required...!
  8. Don't think it's classed as compo, just a straight fee for the privilege of showing the match.
  9. It was pissing the last Friday game against St Mirren so that may have put off the non committed.! I think the crowd will be a good one if we get a positive start to the campaign.
  10. Would need to be by mutual agreement or DUFC would have to pay two years wages to effectively end the contract. Can't see Thompson doing that so would need to negotiate a release.
  11. Happy with £25 each for my two kids. Sensible decision from above..!

Without having an additional reserve league, the proposed changes make sense. Players have to play continually to be match fit when required to step in.
  13. Im looking for at least a comfortable 7th place next season, sixth if ICT, United or one of the others drop off. Must keep the nucleus of the team together.
  14. thi guys, im a JH season ticket holder and here is my view. The real problem here is we dont, like the other top end teams in the SPL have a segregated "ugly sisters" stand to maximise income for between 2 - 6 games per season depending on cups etc. The solution imo is to stick the OF in the full JHS stand which offers 6000 easily accessible and segregated seats. The jags fans can relocate for these occasions and be easily accommodated in the rest of the ground. Personally id charge the OF a premium price for this privilege and we take the 150k and move on. lets enhance the main stand as described in posts above. if we ever have the need thereafter for more capacity we build an OF stand, similar to Well, killy, hibs, hearts, dons etc at the city end. im sure we can all reasonably meet agreement for the above option. I for one hate taking the kids to these games anyway as they OF bring a nasty atmosphere to the stadium. I understand the need to find a solution and im sure compromise can be found.
  15. Picked up one of these numbers today from topman. Well worth it, top quality and looks the business. will become a regular part on my match day attire moving forward...! Thanks for highlighing it OP
  16. we need an extra coach to work the forward thinking players on set pieces and finishing. Thats what we are lacking, we have a good team otherwise. there is no need to panic.
  17. it was noted that the great east end unwashed set at least off at least 2 SBs and all fans stood for the duration of the game without reprimand. Makes the no under 16 rule in the North stand for Jags fans all the more pathetic...!
  18. Osbourne immense, thought Bannigan had a decent game, held on to the ball well, just never had a pentraring pass, welsh on the other hand got caught with his head down too many times. On another day we could have taken somthing. Nice when the chamions of Scotland have to resort to time wasting to close out the game.
  19. thought it was the killie chairman's arse collapsing having tosit with the plebs...!
  20. telephone and online sales on match days, the sales are always limited to the crown on the day otherwise.
  21. its worth a read, headline is a bit dodgy but. Good to get some national coverage for what we have achieved and it refects the firhill banter pretty spot on. chip in for a copy and pin it in the bogs in the ground..!
  22. I think the problem is our decision making at the edge of the box, because the style of our play we take one pass too many. Both Baird and especially Doolan make great space for others, pulling the centre back out the way of the centre of the field. if we improve the decision on last pass and start to shoot from anywhere around the "d" the goals wil come, the stikers will score off the scraps. even our warm up shooting was mixed.
  23. should have brought the polis. They burn't pies are criminal...!
  24. I'm giving it until Monday and if there is no draw or notification to me, the fund will be £20 lighter next month. I don't mind helping the club if there is a reasonable output of prizes that can be won but I'm not donating to them as its not a charity..!
