  1. Support dwindling as well. Less than 400 there today and I can't blame anybody for staying away. Battered it up to there to make it in time and it was a hellish drive home. All to sit and watch that absolute sh1te. Honestly don't know how much more I can take.
  2. That's exactly how I feel. I always thought we would stay up last season. I really can't see it this season, I think we're going down.
  3. I said at the time, if that was Bannigan on Harvie, he would have been off.
  4. I don't think you can include Joe Cardle as someone who doesn't work hard or isn't committed.
  5. It's been a good window so far and I expect we will be talking of some more new signings over the coming days. Not unhappy at all about any of the players that have left. The frightening thing is, there are still quite a few I wouldn't be sad to see go. Recruitment looks to be decent so far though and I'm particularly happy that we are willing to take a chance on some youngsters like Rudden and Lyons. I don't think that players taking time to gel will be an issue. If there are six or seven players in our team that were better than what we had, it will be enough to get us out of trouble. The team will gel in time for next season's promotion push.
  6. One of the few times he won a header!
  7. I have five, meaning I am able to cover all four of his assists on one hand.
  8. Only player I can think of is Kenny McDowall. Mid 80's.
  9. My point was - in reference to Steevo saying football is about opinions - if you were to look at the facts, rather than offer opinion, his stats were two goals and 4 assists (which I didn't know until your post but proves my 'count on one hand' comment). That said, I was never a fan. Expected a bit more from him but I never knew what he brought to the game. For me, he held on to the ball to long and slowed play down too much. Had a bit of skill but never utilised. Not the worst player I've ever seen but don't think he'll be missed. ETA - I'm shocked at how out of shape McKinnon is. I wouldn't be playing him until he gets himself in shape.
  10. If you look at Slater in black and white, i.e. stats - he scored two goals and I'm sure you could count his assists on one hand.
  11. Scott Fox wasn't directly at fault for either goal on Saturday. He was, however, to blame for kicking the ball directly out of play from a bye kick four times in a row. His insistence of continuing to take the kicks from the right hand side instead of moving it over to the left, therefore giving himself a better chance of keeping the ball in play, was inept to say the least. Flapping his arms about as if to blame someone else after doing so only added to his idiotic display.
  12. As much as I am happy about the majority of the new signings, I must admit I am a bit baffled by some of the extensions. As King Kenny says, our defence has been woeful. On current form, I don't think O'Ware or Penrice should have been offered new deals. O'Ware does have potential but there have been some pretty poor performances in there. May be a case that he takes a while to get back to his best after long injury but I would have been waiting to see how he gets on between now and end of season. I do get the fact we are building for the future but we could end up with a few players surplus to requirements in a few months if things don't work out.
  13. Wasn't as early as 1982. Maybe 1984 or even '85? Scored v Ayr Utd at Somerset.
  14. Stephen McGowan has just tweeted that Barjonas is joining on loan.
  15. No idea, sorry. As has been mentioned though, for Rangers to want him back at any point, he's going to have to do very well with us ETA Or indeed receive a sell on fee.
  16. It is my understanding that Rangers have included a buy back option in the deal.
  17. Andy Anderson, Brian Whittaker, John MacDonald and I'm guessing Alex O'Hara in the background. 4-3 win, 1980?
  18. Berra is rotten. Hearts fans have been slating him all season and new manager hasn't taken long to suss him out. I'm sure he'd be looking for a decent wage as well.

Ross Maitland. He's a sports therapist/scientist, used to be at Clyde. He was working with our youths and got moved up after Caldwell got bumped, I believe Ian McCall decided he didn't want the sports scientists GC had. https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/thistle-weir-academy-update-with-academy-director-scott-allison/
  20. The only good thing to come from DJ's short reign at Firhill was the birth of the "Derek Johnstone's Red and Yellow Army" chant, stolen from West Ham and their Johnny Lyall's Claret and Blue Army. Continued of course with Billy Lamont and took off when Lambie arrived.
  21. 4-2-3-1 Cerny O'Donnell Archibald Lindsay Taylor Sinclair Bannigan Osman Lawless Higginbotham Erskine Doolan
  22. Doolan can still score goals at this level. He is still fit enough. I think he is capable of proving some people wrong.
  23. When McGinty goes up for a header it certainly looks like his feet are nailed down.
