  1. "we are rangers, super rangers, no-one likes us, it seems to bother us quite a bit to the point of making irrational complaints every time someone says something about us on the tv or radio" Doesn't have the same ring to it does it?
  2. End of the month I think. You can pre-order it and it *should* arrive on your doorstep on the day of it's release!
  3. Pish for the travelling fan, especially anyone that's bought their train tickets already. Much with the Aberdeen game, I wasn't planning on travelling up for it so I'm happy that i'll now get to watch the game.
  4. The short answer to that is not a lot. What I would give him credit for is actually praising Scottish football and talking about it positively which is the complete opposite to bawbags like Burley and Nicholas who trip over themselves to tell everyone how bad it is. He has mentioned a few times now on Talksport that he has been impressed with the standard and has said he's enjoyed watching the games. We even got a special mention from him, basically said we are a great team to watch. Never much liked him before, but he went up in my estimation after that!
  5. Seem to remember late on in the game we got a good cross in between the keeper and the defence and a Jags player (can't remember who) was looking likely to tuck it away. He must have been in two minds as to whether to head the cross or kick it as he did neither. The ball sailed across his midriff as he raised his foot and bowed his head Might be remembering it completely differently though!
  6. Right time for him to bow out. As mentioned he'd be 36 by the time Euro 2016 came about so it's important that we begin to look to the future and have players playing qualifiers that would be around for the finals should we make it. In my time as a Scotland fan only Darren Fletcher and possibly Christian Dailly could rival Kenny in the dedication shown towards the national team. Guys that would be in the stands supporting the team if they weren't playing. He never turned his back on his country, even for the most meaningless of matches and regardless of the distances he needed to travel. He may have missed a good few chances in his time, but he's scored some massively important goals too including goals that won us points v Italy and Germany at Hampden and also a fantastic double in Norway. Has a great talent for scoring the odd spectacular goal too, Leichtenstein and Cyprus spring to mind as well as the last one at Wembley. A player with the workrate, passion and dedication that Kenny Miller brings will be sorely missed. Cheers Kenny.
  7. Just because he's not jumping about like a loony when we score doesn't mean he's not enjoying it. On Friday night he was probably trying to compose himself to try and calm the players down too. He'll have known that Hearts would have been dangerous in the minutes immediately after the goal and so it proved.
  8. My understanding of the statement is that the electronic entry has not been fitted to the North Stand turnstyles. You'd also need folk checking that the tickets being used are applicable to the people using them.
  9. That'll be the case in the North Stand apparently! Not so in the JHS according to the official site.
  10. I'd phone them. I paid for delivery and hadn't received them by this morning and it turned out they'd just not sent it out.
  11. Paid for delivery but haven't received mine as yet. Phoned the club 5 mins ago and it turns out mine has not actually been sent out and i'll need to go in and collect it. Won't be able to get there before Friday so i'll be queuing up before the game. I sometimes go down to Old Trafford and to get tickets for most games you need to be a "One United" member. With that you get issued a smart card that effectively acts as a ticket. The tickets are added to the card as and when you buy them online, it's a really easy system. I said at the time we announced the electronic entry that this would be great to roll in with the "TAG" scheme. For instance you join TAG and are issued with a membership card that is capable of having tickets added to it. It would be a benefit of joining TAG in that it would make it easier to buy tickets, avoid queues and keep track of the amount of games you've attended in the event of an all ticket game.
  12. Seems a bit high but he did score 5 against Arbroath in 1 game and scored something like 6 in two games against a couple of highland league teams so it might not be far off!
  13. Been quite a bit of talk about it on Talksport, albeit inbetween cricket talk. They might be more interested in the cricket, but I don't think that means there is not much interest in the game. It's on BT Sport
  14. I wouldn't say there "isn't much interest" in England. The game is sold out is it not?
  15. No need to worry about any potential hiccups. We've always got the fog machine...
  16. Strange game as at times we looked streets ahead of them and at times we looked woeful. We certainly looked a lot better when Bannigan and Welsh came on but despite what some have said I though Osbourne had a pretty good game. Gabriel looked good most of the time, won his fair share of headers but got caught out for one or two and allowed players in behind him which caused us problems. His tackle on the Ayr player in the box was very well timed but I think the intial mistake was his to let the guy through but I might be wrong. Thought Mark Kerr was poor, how he got MOTM is beyond me. I felt a little sorry for Baird as the service to him was horrific at times. He made a few good runs but the ball never made it to him and he fed off punts up the park for the most part. He said when he signed that he didn't want to be out on the wings, so to see Archie putting him there was surprising considering his form through the middle for Dundee. Not sure how well Baird will do if that pattern continues. I missed the DU game and was really looking forward to this, but maybe the number of changes led to a disjointed performance.
  17. Wasn't planning on going to the Aberdeen game so i'll now be able to watch it on TV, which is a bonus for me but I can see why folk are pissed.
  18. We seem to be getting quite a few games on TV, my memory of the last time we were in the SPL was only really getting games against the OF on live. Would have preferred the hibs game on a Friday night though
  19. That's him, and you're not alone in thinking that. I thought he looked really decent and from memory he was one of the most fouled players in the Spain v Tahiti game which is unreal considering the balance of the two teams. He also completed more dribbles in the Uruguay game than quite a few of the attacking Uruguay players so it shows he has confidence in his ability and can actually compete against international class players. I'm not for one minute saying he'd be a success, but he's touring Europe looking for a club and we're looking for a winger/forward who can run with the ball, beat men, has a bit of pace etc. No harm in offering him a trial. He's probably not that far off where Erskine was when he signed him in that he'd not played many professional games and had played against poorer opposition. Look how that turned out.
  20. He didn't look out of place playing against players supposedly much better than him at the confederations cup. He completely roasted the life out of Effe Ambrose when they played Nigeria, a player deemed good enough to be a starter for the best team in this country. As far as i'm aware there were extenuating circumstances as to his failure to succeed in Belgium. The club were a shambles at the time and he decided to go back home instead of sticking around. He's also good enough to be on trial with a team in Ligue 1 in France, albeit he didn't get a deal. There's no harm in offering the boy a trial to see how he shapes up. Just because he plays for Tahiti doesn't make him pish.
  21. Said it before but I think we should take a punt on that Steevy Chong Hue who played for Tahiti at the Confederations Cup. I thought he looked pretty decent! Been on trial with FC Lorient in France but no longer on trial with them.
  22. Games will be split between Sky Sports and BT Sport. Our first game of the season will be live.
  23. All over twitter at the moment so seems legit. Reasonably happy with this as a small step forward. The first divison clubs have been squeezed for so long that "bigger" clubs such as Thistle, Raith Rovers, Morton etc have seen the financial gap between them and the likes of Killie, St Mirren, ICT etc widen and we're constantly told that there's not enough "quality" to justify a 16 or 18 team SPL. Hopefully a few years of increased revenue for teams like Thistle should allow us to redress the balance and in time push for a bigger top league that can do away with splits and multiple games against the same teams.
