  1. apparently he has already been told he won't feature for any of the remaining downdee united games and is training with us this week. heard he was also at rugby park on saturday cheering us on.
  2. always thought throughout this season miller could cover as dm sitting in front of frans and seaborne if called upon ..... see it tonight we might, as osman needs knee surgery so could be out ..... though booth looks to be out with ankle that may require operation too, and dumbuya has a knock, so jedi knows who or what our back four and midfield lineup will turn out to be.
  3. i say rule the world you say ruke the world next someone will say nuke the world how wars start that is, simple spelling mistakes
  4. correct as a st holder i'd rather see jags pick up extra points than me pick up a discount for something i will likely never use. so, regardless of any unfulfilled benefits promise**, renew or buy a season ticket if you can ..... give archie the funds to see us rise again further in league and cups we are the true glasgow team ..... let's do a leicester and show the world the jags are the best they've ever seen * *too much moon juice for me this morning you say hmmmm? ** who knows, maybe these benefits will transpire next season ..... tag didn't appear when it was first promised either, so delays, used to them we are
  5. linchpin dumbuya, cerny, osman contracted to summer twenty eighteen doolan, booth, erskine contracted to summer twenty nineteen + more established current players and new signings tba on two or three year contracts + thistleweir products + archie and shaggy contracted to summer twenty nineteen = stability building towards future success throw in kingsley to the mix, and we are going to rule the world
  6. that performance that team spirit that result about time thank you long version started off slow and nervous took a while for players and support to get going once both upped their game, was only going to be one winner scully did well enough when called upon, miller solid and mr dependable, dumbuya excellent, frans and seabo strolled most of it, osman solid, welsh best performance in months even allowing for his slow start would have loved to have seen his last minute thunderbolt have dropped down over the line, edwards never stopped gave his all, lawless great goal and played his part in putting things right, amoo unlucky hope he's okay, christie came on early and proved his worth to the squad, dools what can you say about the legend who never stopped was all over the opposition half and his touch movement and pressurising killie defenders and ragdolling them was magnificent to watch and then there was his goal ..... arise sir doolan have the freedom of wonderful maryhill. great support this week once it got going what with the early nerves in the stand ..... when we are loud we prove we can be the twelfth man ..... the second half girfuy towards hu^ fans without the bus fare and conrad and higgy (what was that hairdo all about ) and the moorelike geordie was doubly satisfying archie and shaggy cajoled rollocked and rolled from the sidelines and their influence and guidance showed as the game wore on ..... now they've got their three year contracts let's see the board back them and get more players resigned and bring in reinforcements to beef out the squad who can help us push on and get top six next season and build even more for the future with some thistleweir boys breaking through to be regular starters. the future is bright the future is red and yellow
  7. plastic pitch a tractor town higgy conrad the booze guzzling mess that is lee clark a support that is bigots without the busfare that's six reasons we should be beating this mob, add your own, collate a list, so we can send it to archie and the players.* *won't happen, they'll never see it, but a long list of reasons to beat killie may make some of us feel a bit positive and looking forward to the game. disclaimer ..... this post carries no guarantee that positive feeling of reasons to beat killie will be continued after quarter to five on saturday
  8. progress in first half of season yes, progress in second half of season no. we started poorly in terms of results but it could be seen we were tighter at back, what we were trying to do with new signings, unlucky in some results, but once we came onto our game it all clicked and we went on a run of entertaining victories and hard won but deserved results. then we lost an unfortunate and ill deserved goal late on at septic park and since then we have failed to reproduce in most matches since, the fight, entertainment and style of play that had served us well in first half of season. we've regressed in second half of this season and the last three games will dictate whether it becomes a season on a par with last two, or a season that becomes a potential annus horribilis. we saw it earlier in season that the players are better than what they are currently performing at, question is do they have the mental belief and fight within them to unite and give us all a shift and put in three performances worthy of being remembered positively. the supporters have backed archie, shaggy, the players, the board, the club all season long. vocally, financially, travelling in large numbers to away games, supporters have given their all, can all the players look in mirror and say they have done equally as well in efforts on the pitch, that's deserving of the supporters and their wages every week? time to step up ptfc players ..... no more cuddly soft performances ..... wear the jersey with pride ..... show us your fight and passion and skill ..... win with pride ..... win for yourselves ..... win for your professional pride ..... and most of all, win for the supporters and the club that has backed you to the hilt and paid your wages all season long.
  9. need new pre match music we do too as well as addressing the volume levels and pa system. reminds me of old school parties where some spotty kid who thinks he is cool and has delusions he will can be a dj and will be able to whip up the crowd with his second hand speakers got off of noel edmonds swap shop for his brand new bmx by blaring his crappy choice of music full blast and screaming into microphone let's get mental, and everyone else just wants him to stfu and turn it off and bolt.
  10. Position Total payment 1 £2,827,400 2 £2,025,600 3 £1,740,750 4 £1,529,750 5 £1,424,250 6 £1,318,750 7 £1,213,250 8 £1,160,500 9 £1,107,750 10 £1,055,000 11 £1,002,250 win today jags. win next weekend. win next tuesday. win again two weeks today. finish seventh and secure maximum we can now get in prize money. irks me it does though if we had got a result in dingwall, or a dozen other games where we should have got more than we did this season, we could have been looking at anything between £105k and £316k extra beyond what seventh will bring us ..... money that could have transformed archies budget, for targets and resignings.
  11. ^^^^^ this link is contained within todays bbc scottish gossip column http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36167381 with the text below preceding the link to the eurosport article ..... nowhere in the eurosport article does it state this ..... it is purely made up lies from the bbc, yet another example of the lazy arsed shoddy standards peoples license fees go towards. i would say whoever collates the bbc scottish gossip page should get volleyed off the top of pacific quay into the clyde by kingsley, but why stop there with one bumbling beeb c0ck journo.
  12. the scenes from outside the court in warrington were emotional and brought a tear to these old eyes. the establishment lie of blaming the fans for the deaths has finally been laid to rest. the police allowed sixty turnstiles to be open for the forest fans, but only twenty three for the liverpool fans. that, and the subsequent actions of the authorities at the match caused the tragedy, and since then the establishment contrived to collude and lie and painted football supporters as the ones at fault ..... a policing culture that exists to this day continually painting and treating football fans as criminals and trouble makers. apart from two clubs in scotland, there is no reason or justification to act this way towards football fans. today, justice and truth has won out for the ninety six and their families.
  13. again, some good points you raise and in agreement with many i am ..... think we can safely say this seasons success and shortcomings have been fine margins ..... but not just in one game (where a better result than we achieved in any given game was deserved and would have made a huge difference to how many supporters would view our season), as many of us can point to a substantial number of games where we walked out firhill or away venues feeling "we should have won or drawn that game". that's why on reflection both i and others i go to games with feel it's been a season of progress on some fronts but it could have been better, but that is coupled with strong sense of many of our matches not being entertaining and when you look at number of games we have failed to score or have hardly registered a shot on target the stats back this up. but football that is. again i revert to my earlier comment that i have positive hope for a better season to come next season, and the hope archie can and will implement and maintain a more pacy attacking and entertaining style of play considering the players he has at his disposal. as for telling one of my mad stories ..... my stories aren't mad you sweety throwback!!!!! ..... if you want mad stories, pop over to general chat forum and read the flat earth thread for a stream of madness to fry your brain and send your lolometer into overdrive. while technically correct on dools, the stats don't highlight the amount of game time he hasn't been on the park, and who's to say that if he wasn't restricted in starts or taken off in games, he wouldn't score more? in addition, if dools was getting a better service from his teammates, his goalscoring stats would rise too. no disagreement with your lack of contribution from midfield, a specific i have addressed previously, so over to archie and the players now to address it.
  14. progress in terms of points gained before split, and league position at split ..... as well as tighter at back, having better keeper in cerny, plus having (for example) booth developing into a first pick on teamsheet (okay no real permanent alternative, but think you get my point), and the excitement dumbuya creates. regrettably a regression in entertainment value particularly this year. agree poor start, followed by an excellent second quarter, where we were playing pacy and entertaining football, but since start of year, points per game has dropped from second quarter ..... and as you correctly state "sneaked a few victories here and there" ..... but why did we regress our style of play from turn of the year? if we had kept our second quarter form trajectory going, we would have strolled into top six, so i fail to see why we had to cease what was working in second quarter of season ..... pitches poorer yes, but that's not enough reason, as seen plenty other teams playing pacy attacking football on same surfaces. so probably not disagreeing with you jls on your overall points, and as for your closing bringing it back to dools, agree one hundred percent with your words.
  15. win away, still he cannot   for this and dozens other reflections on jakeys terrible tenure at t'york, have a look here ..... http://www.yorkpress.co.uk/sport/yorkcityfc/14448246.York_City_boss_Jackie_McNamara_asks_to_be_judged_next_season_after_relegation_from_Football_League_is_confirmed/?ref=twtrec (comments on second half of page, after report and ads) two teams relegated in one season under you jakey. one which has further been destroyed by mixu and which may take several seasons to get back up, and another club you have steered the relegation express full steam ahead out of the english leagues into conference obscurity. your management career is over jakey, couldn't have happened to a more deserving money grabbing snake. girfuy jakey. karma has got you. the force always triumphs over the dark side.
  16. for you fixed it, as jakey will gladly pick them up and pocket them.
  17. much of the above to argue with there is not. but to discuss a few points further ..... first before i start, i am stating i am proud of our continued overall progress this season under archie, but believe it could have been so much better this season. so with that out the way ..... i'm not in the pogba isn't a player camp, nor am i writing him off (hoping next season is much better for him i am, especially with full preseason and now having got to know rest of squad well over the year), but without stats to hand, and in response to your musings ..... it's not only dools prolificness in the goal scoring to minutes played stats to those of pogba, i also believe as a team we are more prolific when dools in on park as opposed to pogba ..... so pogba (and rest of team) have to step up their game when pogba is on the pitch. if archie is of the same attacking style ethos i am seeking, then i'd like to see more evidence of it ..... while your naming and mitigating factors excuses are valid in varying degrees, they are not automatically pointing to a get out for us not playing the attacking style we know we can excel at ..... yes, you have to take into account the opposition in each game and tweak your play to suit to a degree, but that does not give a free pass to us failing to impose our pace and attacking prowess on opposition teams, as plenty of times we all see it from the stands, spaces to run into and drive forward stretching opposition defences, but instead we look for the sideways or slow pass, and move breaks down. so if archie does want that, why isn't he instructing the players to do it, and if they aren't doing it, why does he let them keep playing that way, or picking them? yes, we don't have a huge squad, but there has been plenty scope to play alternative lineups, or even during matches giving them a rollicking to do as he says? eight out of eleven teams in our league are clearly no better than us, and we are the best of that eight as tjr's recent tables in stats thread showed. but since the turn of the year we have not been an enjoyable team to watch, hardly score in first half (especially if we are at home shooting towards northy). it does give me hope for next season, with full preseason for amoo, pogba, edwards, and even muzzy ..... plus the return of the bridge ..... that we can kick on and have that attacking style of pacy play next season, and not just for three or four games before we go back to slow tiki taka and pointless dead ball situations. i also believe if we consistently played the attacking pacy play we'd like to see, crowds would rise ..... let's be honest, how many of us have enjoyed (for example) the turgid abject fare of saturday? or any number of games the last few months where for example we have hardly registered one shot on goal in, or carried any threat from dead ball situations? sod and ats were over rated in crossing abilities, for every good ball in, there were a dozen wasted feeble attempts, and higgy had a six month excellent period with rest being a mixture of ineffective and missy fits. as for your last paragraph ..... yes have such days i do, but defeat me they do not, i use the jaggy force to do better the next days ..... and as for that prick, strong enough he was not, went to dark side and karma caught him and he ended up taking a nose dive never to be seen again ..... which reminds me, post on jakey snakenamara thread i must. this is what i want to see ..... but with our players doing it more than the opposition ..... we have the players who can break with pace with the ball, skin by opposition defenders and send in balls for our striker or other mids and wingers running onto to score. why are we not attempting to do this or be seen to be trying to do this with regularity?
  18. award this instead i do ..... the emboldened part ..... so, goal to minutes ratio, dools is virtually on a par with jimmy walker ..... his hero status and consistent importance and contribution to partick thistle continues to grow. and we have at least another three years of this to look forward to again .....
  19. several times before i have said it ..... marko roberts or someone of that ilk in as coach to work with strikers, attacking mids and wingers and wingbacks. the more game time dools (or another striker with same or better goals to game minutes ratio) gets, the more goals they will score. compare dools ratio of goals to on pitch time and it outweighs pogbas substantially. get out attacking mids, wingers and wingbacks being more direct and pacy, as well as getting in box or close to dools when balls whipped in (none of this sand wedge type crosses please, they are pish and pointless) to unsettle defenders and be there for possible second ball or ricochet would equal more goals too. up the energy and work rates. bust a gut and have a proper go at opposition teams.
  20. arnold schwarzenegger as frans courtney cox as dan seaborne aleksandr orlov as dools cain dingle as shaggy me as alan archibald
  21. sign up for two more years banzo ..... unfinished business here you have. we'll see you through your current injury ..... and you can return to a side boasting the pace, vision and talents of players like dumbuya and pogba and amoo (who'll all have benefited from a full preseason with us) as well as the ever dependable dools and the return of the bridge maestro. maryhill is wonderful and things round firhill are only going to get better, and you don't want to miss out on that. sign for longer with the jags you must, you know it makes sense.
  22. an eight goal thriller you say? i could settle for that ..... though a six two, seven one, or eight nil in our favour would be my preference. and why you giving scumdee four goals against us? it's not as if we have half our recognised defence, and possibly first choice keeper, missing ..... or that we have shipped four gifts to them before ..... oh, ummmm, hmmmm, good point four four i'll take that.

    Flat Earth

first emboldened point ..... wrong. utterly wrong. i have looked into it, in past years and past month with your repeated postings. second emboldened point ..... you get what you view as ridicule, because you make no case, offer no evidence, avoid answering direct questions, when challenged about your flat earth assertion ..... and it is not just me i am referring to, you have made no case to others you've replied to, and avoided their direct questions when they offer evidential facts. have a look at my last reply to you ..... i provided a link with ten evidential points, asked you to counter them one by one, to offer you opportunity to disprove them, and you did what you always do ..... you shat it, and failed to address the ten points, and did your default "here's another video of fantasy". third emboldened point ..... ignoring fact that it can and has been proven, turning the point on its head to "the flat earth just cannot be proven" (and has demonstrably disproved), YOU have failed to prove, or given any substantive evidence or even worthwhile arguments to give your viewpoint any modicum of strength or validity. until you do, your posts and you under your posting pseudonym, cannot, and will not be taken seriously. fourth emboldened point ..... first and yet again you're completely wrong, and secondly, as with fenski, i gave up after half a dozen minutes of that nonsense. until you start to properly reply to points you are challenged with, by myself or anyone else, any future participation of mine on this thread will be laughing at your latest delusions. you may view that as ridicule, i post it as a statement, which is based on your total lack of making any reasonable points or convincing case.
  24. so this is what it sounds like when doves cry. RIP sleep well sweet prince x
