This coming Tuesday is massive. County at home to StJ who need a point or two to secure a top-6 place. 'Well at home to StM who are fighting for their lives. StJ will sit in, which is County's preferred tactic. They won't like that. I expect a low score, even 0-0. I also expect StM to put up a fight. So I don't expect both County and 'well to win. Midweek could be good for us, even if we lose at Sellic which we probably will.

Well it keeps it interesting. If Killie had won those 2 games, it would all look done and dusted. We'd be a cert 9th. Instead, we can aspire to 8th, or look down nervously at 11th. I'm going for 8th! Killie - we're coming to get you...

Also all our U20 strikers are out on loan! Stevo...

I think it's time Killie were included in all this analysis. I confidently predicted they'd lose their last two games, and lo it came to pass. Now they have Aberdeen (h) & Celtic (a) before the split. If we beat Motherwell (by no means guaranteed) we'll be above them at the split (albeit on GD, assuming Celtic beat us too). Game on!

Leyden & Dillon out on loan now, to Div 2 sides E.Fife & Berwick. One thing the big team can learn from the wee team is: when to score & concede. The wee team are higher in their (bigger) league, but with a honking GD of -15!

He's also a threat in the oppsitiono box. He gets on the end of a lot of set-pieces, misses loads, but I make it 12 goals in his Jags career to date. Pretty good rate for a defender.

It was looking more and more like 0-0, then we popped up with an unexpected goal near the end. I immediately remembered the last time that happened at Firhill, but fortunately we had the class/luck to see it out.
