Imo whoever gets the job doesn't have an easy task. Tho we were underwhelming in the finals, Clarke did get us to 3 major finals and statistically that makes him the best Scotland manager to date.

Very good performance from Thistle. Went 2-0 up at ht and did what we had to do in the second half. Drodz deserved motm,but a word for Samuel he didn't score but he kept their central defenders busy. Only downside for me was McFarlane i thought he should've done better with corners that came into his area.

I remember coming out of a midweek game last season and most/all cars on pavement were booked, since then it is rare to see any parked on the pavement.

Not sure if we will start with 3 players who haven't played a competitive match this season. That would mean we would probably have to make 3 subs around the 60minute mark, with 2 being in the midfield, leaving us with only a further 2 subs to react to what is happening in the game.

Some of their comments on P & B are way over the top. They are very bad losers and even worse winners.

Also 20 years ago when we beat Peterhead to win 1st Div play off we were 4th and they were second in the league.

Looks like Cammy Logan is going to be out for a while. He finished last season off well and was looking to kick on this season. I wish him all the best for a speedy recovery.

If we have any ambitions to be challenging for the title we have to improve our away form from last season. So a good start and it is always good to get the 3 points in what sounded like a tight game. Although not as late as some of our goals last season against Morton another lateish goal.

Imo there will be a lot of pressure and spotlight on Ben. We shouldn't start him until he is fit and iirc the management team have said in the past about building up players game time until they are fit. A big season ahead for the management team and Ben to see if they can replicate or better what they did last season, which for both was way better than what most of us thought/expected.

Can only add to the delighted that Ben has decided to sign on again. If he continues to develop his game like he did last season, he will be some player.

In the 4 league games we played them last season they took the lead in every game. Out of those 4 games it ended with 2 draws and 2 victories for us. In the last 3 of those games we scored in the 90th minute or later to get a draw in one of them and goals in injury time to get victories in the other 2. Those winning goals scored by Watt and Samuel.
