Are you trying to milk this discussion or just water it down ptd.
  2. Not to early to say it is a must win game. We haven't won a home league game for 6 months. As i have said on other posts, the first of 4 games in a row we should be expecting to win. Time to get the McCall revival started.
  3. The biggest and most expensive dud was Caldwell himself. Would be funny if he managed to power point his way into a Edinburgh club.
  4. Are you up for doing the pre match team talk.
  5. At the very least should some sort of pride in their performance not be expected ? We have had some good results this season. Ross County( league cup) Inverness and Dundee in the league. Against Nomads in challenge cup we were never in trouble. So there is a team in there somewhere. Lets hope McCall can get results until January and make the required changes.
  6. Our next 4 games are one's we should be able to win. We have Morton and Alloa in the league, Penicuik in the cup. All at Firhill. We also have Stenhousemuir away in the challenge cup. I know we have lost 3 league games in a row and 2 of those we were very poor in. So no reason to be optimistic . But Morton and Alloa are not exactly setting the heather on fire and if we cant beat a non league team and a division 2 team we really are in trouble. I think when we have played these 4 games we will have a better idea of what this season has in store for us. A poor combination of results in these 4 games would see any honeymoon type period that McCall might be having ending.
  7. Our next 4 are games we should be looking to win. The 2 you mention plus Morton and Alloa at home. We should know better after these games just how bad a position we are in.
  8. You forgot Mansell. Easy enough to do.
  9. Cant agree with it would be easier to build from scratch in the league below. Relegation again could see us in third tier for years to come. McCall needs to find a way to get the team picking up points until January. Then get players in that will keep us in this league. Then over the summer do the required surgery to the team to get us challenging in the top half. I have said it before, our next 2 league games are at home to Morton and Alloa. We need to take 6 points from these games and that would keep us in touch.
  10. We might as well be 112points of top 4, for all the chance we have of getting there.
  11. Sorry Sandy, you are wrong, he left us with a top 4 squad.
  12. We need to win our next 2 league games. Both at home, against Morton and Alloa.
  13. One way or another we have to.
  14. Just how far behind will we be come the January transfer window. We need points before then. Big game next week against Morton.

Something else should have happened by October 31st and it didn't. Wonder which will be decided first.

Falkirk was not a fan buyout.Somebody called Mark Campbell.

Not sure if this has been mentioned. Heard on the radio last weekend that Hearts will be fan owned next summer. Their fans group has raised £9 million. They have between 7,500 - 8,000 subscribers, who pay on a monthly basis. The Falkirk takeover is now not going ahead.
  19. I dont think DD believes that man went to the moon.
  20. You want Scotty in the engine room. I blame Eunice for me knowing so much about Star Trek.
  21. All good in the air. If we can get a victory it will be a small step for McCall and a giant leap for Thistle.
  22. Yes Scotty i have, thanks for asking. That was on STV about 7/8 months ago and the interview that was shown only lasted for about 30 seconds. When did you see it ?
  23. I am not a Trekkie. But in 1995 on our first holiday in Orlando we went to Universal studio's, there was a bit where you could do a Star Trek screen test. Eunice was the captain (of course), i was Spock and young Robert was a first officer. We still have the video. A few years later we went to Edinburgh for a Star Trek exhibition, with props and costumes from the tv series and films. I have also seen most of the films, including the new one's with Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg. As 10cc sang 'The Thing's You Do For Love'. Am i still a heathen ?
