  1. Yes the manager has had less than 2 weeks to work with the squad. We got a victory last week, that maybe raised the expectations for today. Once again we are left with a new manager having to work with a squad he did not assemble, but the need to make sure we pick up points and hope they can improve the squad in January.
  2. Caldwell has stated this squad is top 4 material. It is not. The Caldwell legacy can be seen on and off the park.
  3. First half, we could have been one down in the first minute after a scramble in our area. Five minutes before half time Fox had a very good save to stop us going behind. Second half we had the majority of possession, but as others have said we huffed and puffed and never bothered their goalie. A few penalty claims, but no stone wall shouts, even if they were not sure we would've got them. Thought we should have got something from the game.

Just as an example, our previous manager has been sacked 3 times so far in his managerial career . One in October, twice in September.

Managers are sacked at different times of the year. Who are the possible candidates it was well recorded we missed out on? Apart from Neilson cant think of any others. For the record, before I am accused of sticking up for Archibald I thought he should have been sacked after Kilmarnock beat us 2-0 at Firhill, with their Youth coach in charge. Any way as I have said you are going on rumours only.

Of course it is rumour. It is not obvious if you sack a manager before summer you have more options. Caldwell was out of a job for a year before we hired him. If we sacked Archibald after the play off defeat it is possible we could have still had Caldwell as manager. You say well recorded, i.e rumours.

Again all rumours. Again something you consistently tell others not to do. Unless you are on the board at Firhill you do not know who was in running for the managerial job no matter when it was. Anyway I am not interested in the you said/ I said discussion you seem to get involved in a lot. We now have a manager in charge who will get us up the league and not fighting against relegation play off until the last game of the season.
  8. Alloa played well in the first half and deserved their lead, in fact they could have had another goal or two .
  9. Alloa currently 1-0 up at half time v Dundee Utd. If Alloa get anything from this game we are bottom of the league.

You always pull up others for coming up with non factual information. How do you know Caldwell would not have been an option ? He even applied for the Scotland job, before our board fell for his power point.
  11. Lets hope McCall keeps the winning run going, that he has had at Firhill in the past year or so.
  12. Shea Gordon and Cammy Palmer have been called up for the Northern Ireland U21s. This means they will miss the Connah's Quay Nomads game.
  13. Agree. We now have somebody in charge who has feeling for Thistle, that is not essential, but it does help. More important, he knows the Scottish game and also knows how to get players playing to their strengths.
  14. I take it my Caldwell season ticket, bought pre season will automatically upgrade to a McCall season ticket.
  15. If Dools goal against Morton last season wasn't over the line, that one wasn't either.
  16. Yes. Both loan periods expires January 2020.
  17. De Vita goal 5minutes from time gives Thistle 2-1 victory.
  18. 1-1 HT. Mansell scores a few minutes before half time after Queens had went ahead with a penalty 5 minutes earlier.
  19. Yes, was also going to post that. A great start for McCall and co. A win on Saturday and we will be able to start looking up the league table.
  20. Yes because nobody else had. Really don't get your point. The Doolan of the last couple of seasons was not the same as the Doolan of his 8 seasons or so beforehand, but he wasn't the only one to have poor season/s
  21. The discussion was about strikers Thistle have had in the past and nobody had mentioned Doolan.
  22. I think a certain Kris Doolan might have scored a goal or two for us as well.
  23. Partick Thistle fan has a specsavers and when Harry met Sally moment, when they realise that Thistle are about to get a great victory at Inverness. I'll have what your having GRE.
  24. Every goal scorer also misses goals. Its just the best ones score more than they miss.
