My Brother In Law is a Morton fan and he has said for a few years he would love to have Doolan at Morton. I always said no chance, that Doolan would finish his playing days with Thistle and possibly end up manager. If he joins Morton I will have a meltdown.

Don't do Facebook, P&B etc. Cant manage on the night. Whatever is posted on this forum I will be happy with. So yes it will be good enough.

Somebody done a podcast for the meet the manage, he did. I think it was in November last year, it was then posted on this forum. Would be good if somebody could do that with this. Not everybody will manage, but I am sure we are all interested in what is said.

The way I say it is. A player who earned the respect of Thistle fans and I believe his fellow players because of his goal scoring, his professionalism both on and off the park has been treated shabbily by the club the way he was released.The manager who probably made the decision to release him has not done a lot for Thistle so far, but since he is the manager of the team I have supported for over 55years I want him to succeed. Only time will tell. I would also add I feel Dools still had a lot to offer Thistle both on and off the park.

I hope he does well. Because that means Thistle are doing well. I wont manage to the night. But I will be interested to hear from those fans that manage to go. Might there be a podcast after it.?

Thanks. Very dignified interview. He will have no problem getting another club. Some on this forum have said he has been off form over the past 2 seasons. By his very high standards you cant argue with that. But although his time on the pitch could have been limited, his experience of being at Firhill for 10 years and working under 3 different managers before Caldwell would have been handy. He also had 4 very good years in the premier league where he got into double figures with goals and we have now discarded all that experience without even offering him a contract. Also don't forget his loyalty to the club. A questionable decision imo.

Rarely started by last 2 managers. Yet he managed to score 121 goals. Also he was the all time 3rd top scorer in the latest version of the premier league up to a year or so. Not bad stats for somebody who rarely started. We will wait a long time if ever to see somebody like him in a Thistle team again.

Doolan showed loyalty. If Caldwell got a better offer he will be of quicker than you can say power point.

There will only ever be one Kris Doolan. Hopefully you realise the way you have been treated by some at Firhill is not the way most of us who have Thistle at heart would've treated you. A legend.

When we treat a player who has been loyal and the total professional for 10 years, and we treat him like this. what does this say to players we are looking to sign.

Don't think he will be short of offers. Apart from being a good player, he is a very good professional.

He has said he has had offers to go to other clubs over the years. But he said he was happy at Firhill.

I hope Doolan left of his own accord and was not forced out in any way.Some on here saying it was right to let Doolan go because he has not been good enough over the past season or two. But defending the actions of a manger who has failed with his main objective of getting us promoted.
