  1. Some people have a problem with Germans. Not me. My old Grandpa used to visit it regularly. Flying a Lancaster bomber. There you go, give Lance a bit of peace and have a go at me for my anti-German/anti-European/xenophobia. Delete as appropriate for whatever gets you on your high horse.
  2. Fired in a donation there. Show us your money.
  3. Was on the official site (which is so much better these days than a couple of years ago) and noticed the brilliant hospitality offer for season ticket holders http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2010-2011/march_2011/pick_the_man_of_the_match_-_hospitality_places_still_available It's only £25 per person (plus VAT) or a table of ten is available at just £220 (plus VAT). A special half-time draw will take place amongst the hospitality guests allowing them the chance to select the Man of the Match.
  4. Charlton are my London team. Used to be able to watch some Premiership games for £15 when they were in the top tier. Now it's more to watch League 1.
  5. Brilliant effort from Charlie and Stuart (and Ami) and anyone else who has been working on this. Just shows what happens when a few people come up with an idea, plan it and drive it on. A great example for all fans of the club. I doth my cap (firhill bunnet) to you.
  6. I agree with the comment but have deleted the slander as I'm not trying to start a message board fight. Im a member of the Supporters club and try to go to one game away a campaign and all the competitive home games - I'm based in London. Been to Germany, Italy, France, Slovenia, Sweden, Wales and one or two others. Going to the Brazil game and hope we get a great result. Love the Scotland team but the people who class themselves as "Tartan Army" are annoying and the idea has definitely been ruined by those jumping on the bandwagon. Seems to be full of attention seeking teucthers who make a nuisance of themselves and think shaking random foreigners hands makes up for everything. I never wear a kilt to a game.
  7. I think Greaves do a great job with the Thistle gear. Always on display and plenty of stock in Gordon and Sauchiehall Street.
  8. Start a lottery and who wins gets first release of the concrete wrecking ball. I'd buy 10 tickets. The stand is not great and should be replaced.
  9. St Johnstone are an absolute disgrace for letting this happen. Nothing to do with our club. St Johnstone should get fined for failing to get a game played.
  10. Armand2 and Le Chic. You are heroes. You are carrying on the protests of Tunisia and Egypt right to Maryhill. I salute your indefatigability. You have made your self righteous point whatever it was and managed to annoy people trying to do their best for the club. I salute you. What's your next token act? Self immolation on the bing?
  11. Looking for 2 tickets for Mogwai gig at Grand Ole Oprey and Bright Eyes at Oran Mor. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
  12. Is this true? If so RIP. It was a bit of a landmark and always enjoyed my time in there. Thoughts are with the family etc.
  13. Would love an away trip to Tynecastle. Would be a great atmosphere.
  14. At the Raith Rovers game Fox gave the defence and the fans confidence which is priceless. Get him signed up. I think he looks a cut above other keepers in the league, it was only one game, but I was very impressed.
  15. There's a good t-shirt in Greaves to help celebrate the League Cup victory. http://www.greavessports.com/ptfc-programme-tee-p62126
  16. Hi Jags Trust Board. I used to be a member but resigned. Now I post open ended questions of nothingness for all to see instead of contacting you directly and trying to progress any issues in an effective and efficient manner. It's good to get my ill feeling out in the open by pretending I am interested but instead causing a bit of a scene especially during Christmas/New Year period where practically everyone shuts down for the year. Disclaimer: This is my translation of the original posting.
  17. Can anyone recommend some good comedy DVD's to buy so we can watch on Christmas Day? This is a much needed area to stop the family from falling asleep or bickering. However I need something relatively clean like Michael MacIntryre so Frankie Boyle is definitely off limits. Is the Kevin Bridges DVD ok to watch with olds?
  18. What a closing plea from Mr Sheridan qyoted from The Evening Times in court. "I've got a wee girl at home, I've got a loving wife and if you decide to convict me I'll be separated from them for a very long time. I have to convince you that there's far too much reasonable doubt for you to find me guilty of any of the remaining six charges."
  19. Radiohead at Glasgow Green x 2. In a big top in 99 or 2000. On a big stage last year or the year before. Left early before end of both gigs. Self indulgent. Will never go see them live again.
  20. I'd cut the number of university places. Too much supply for little benefit. A lot of rubbish courses, students expecting too much when they graduate with a piss poor education. Elitism in education is a good thing, not judged on finance but based on intelligence.
  21. Mate I'm currently working in New York office for a few weeks and that made me spit my water over my keyboard. The place is amazing but the patter is atrocious.
  22. Why is it some people of "Irish" persuasion and I mean Irish in the loosest sense of the word 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation have such a huge chip on their shoulders about the UK and the British Armed forces when I work with loads of Indians, Pakistanis and Nigerians who couldn't give a toss and have a lot of respect for Britain despite all the nastiness that went with the British Empire. They can move on but some Irish just don't.
  23. That was a patient from Gartnavel Hospital. Because of no-smoking restrictions you have to walk really far away from the building these days.
  24. This whole episode really paints the Scottish Socialist Party and people associated with them in a bad light. The left in Scotland had an opening with the Parliament but they will struggle to recover be it SSP, Solidarity or whoever. It's a real messy sordid affair. Never been a fan of Sheridan as I felt he was part of the rent-a-mob brigade, shouting people down, promising things that would never happen, banging on about his Granny from Govan as if that was some kind of status symbol and condesending the people he was supposed to represent. He's now going for his second degree (liked to keep his one from Stirling quiet) and is coupled up with Aamer Anwar who to me is another trouble maker on a power trip.
  25. Minutes applause. I'm still cringing at the thought.
