  1. Football Web Pages has our average home attendance for 21/22 - 2,500 22/23 - 3,100 23/24 - 3,400 so far
  2. To be fair, is there much more in that than JJ has already had his say about ? Apart from the football update. On that, I understand Doolan wanting to protect our assets. However, what I am not so sure about is the emphasis on the Academy players. What are the benefits of doing that ? Are they cheaper. Is it less work. Is there something else ? This isn’t a dig at the players from the academy we have, I am genuinely curious.
  3. Not only that - but Sky didn’t bother giving the score of a game in a competition they sponsor.
  4. It makes more sense why they chose that date but not if they want to promote the women’s game.
  5. It is surely a bigger issue than just PTWFC. If the football authorities are serious about promoting the women’s game, it doesn’t seem like the smartest decision to schedule the game on a Saturday afternoon when there will be men’s games from all divisions, presumably. Haven’t checked.
  6. I was reading the table as only the teams selected for the tv games get the tv money.
  7. I didn’t know he had been injured. Thanks for the info.
  8. I wonder why Stanway has fallen out of the picture recently.
  9. I guess the club didn’t see much of the other £1.9M either.
  10. Kind of what I am getting at is, how much of the £1.3M and the £1.7M did the club see in cash.
  11. Whatever happened to the £5M that Colin Weir gave to Three Black Cats to manage ?
  12. We don’t beat teams in leagues above us in the cup. Not optimistic.
  13. It was a flippant statement. But I am done with this discussion.
  14. You really are wound up about this.
  15. They already added 10% without investing in anything.
  16. I didn’t make it that choice. But if you don’t have the finance to do everything, you need to pick the one with the highest return. It needs accurate assessments, not ones skewed for your favoured one.
  17. You need to do the detail. You are trying to convince the Board not to upgrade Hospitality, but do the ladies toilets instead. I am just seeing what you have presented and asking you to show you come up with your figures. For a start you have assumed that everybody going into hospitality would have bought a match day ticket. 2nd - you have deducted the full price of the match day ticket(including VAT) from the Hospitality price excluding VAT. You’ve picked 350 because it works mathematically - but again you have forgotten about VAT and concessions.
  18. You’ve just plucked numbers out the air - and you complained about the robustness of forecasts. Unbelievable Jeff.
  19. I don’t think you are listening to anything that has been said. We were in a mess financially and needed to stabilise. The main way to get more fans to games is to win games consistently. Having said that, the kids go free seems to have borne fruit. Are the ticket numbers/Hospitality & Commercial Revenue split your assessment or from the AGM. Either way, on a turnover of 2.5M, I would question that. Last season we had about 70,000 through the gates(including the cups). Our portion of that was about 65,000. Allowing for VAT and concessions we would be lucky if we got £14 per ticket - that’s just over £900K. Unless a large number of the 65,000 are walk ups as opposed to ST, I can’t see it being anywhere near 70/30 split.
  20. I understand you are explaining some of the areas contributing to the improvement in the loss for 23/24 compared to 22/23. One of the difficulties with using terms like trivial are that people have different ideas of what that actually means.
  21. I give up. Why should I stop saying investment ? When you buy shares in a company you are investing in that company - that’s what McClymont did. Without that money we have been told we would likely run out of cash. I think the discussion has already been had about whether donations are legitimate income for football clubs - you are in the minority in your stance. We have already established that the USA money is not part of the Profit/Loss, but to shore up the bank. It might still be PTFC Trust in charge, but is it the same people in the trust - and you know fine well that’s what I mean, not to mention we have a different chief executive. It’s ridiculous that you won’t acknowledge those two items reducing the £600K to £150K this year, plus £100K playoff income(if you are right that it wasn’t included in 22/23 and some supposed transfer windfall for Hendrie and Nesbit to Millwall. For me, it’s pretty easy to improve by £450K from last season. I think the Directors job is to keep Thistle playing football at the highest level possible. I don’t care how they get the finance as long as it is legitimate. By the way, you still haven’t answered what you want for PTFC.
  22. I asked the question what do you want for PTFC - not the board. Will you answer that. You don’t pay the £300K hit from last year out of this years revenue. It will have impacted the cash balances, which is why we needed some investment. You are right about needing to find £600k. We got £170 from TJF for starters; Prices went up 10% another - that’s likely to be close to £100K. That’s almost 1/2 the shortfall in additional revenue before any cost cutting. I get that it would have been preferable to have had some explanation how to get from £600K loss to £150K loss at the meeting, but again why should your initial reaction be mistrust. Is it the same financial process ? It’s different people at the helm. Maybe you know, maybe it’s just more mud. You might turn out to be right, but your going about it the wrong way.
  23. Didn’t realise I had asked so many hidden questions. Anyway, I wasn’t equating PTFC with the board. I was asking what you want for PTFC. It was a direct question. 2nd point. You were at the AGM where the 2nd £500K was announced. My question on that was why did you wait until the press release before jumping up and down about it. ? No idea what that final paragraph is about. It’s nowt to do with me. On the finances you ask how are the books being balanced. In season 22/23, we posted a loss of £300K which would have been £600K without the Rangers game. In 23/24, the forecast is a loss of £150K. That’s a 75% improvement. So, in order to break even we need £150K savings or we need to increase our static Championship revenue, which I guess we must be doing in 23/24.
  24. JeanieD’s point was about the average fan. I am sure you will have stats about how many TJF members participate in the various surveys etc. I think it’s normal for the leadership of organisations to generate the issues to be voted on etc. True fan ownership will be when at least some issues to be voted on come from the general body of fans.
