  1. Like you, I didn’t understand the goal kicks. However, on the playoffs, if we make them, and we continue to improve our fitness, we might have the chance to compete with Ayr or Livi. We should have won that last night.
  2. I think the accounts would make more sense if the 2023 accounts were adjusted for the women’s team. I also think that the breakdown in the revenue would make more sense if it broke down the football revenue between men/women and further between league and cups. What were we accruing in 2023 that we paid in 2024 which used up a big chunk of the 1st tranche ?
  3. Think that’s the 3rd time this season we have lost a goal when temporarily down to 10 men this season. Hasn’t mattered whether we have been able to get players in the right place or not.
  4. Not too sure there is anything in the fact that we brought in a keeper and trying to get a striker before end of February, prior to the Sporting Director applications deadline.
  5. Surely, it’s lamb on the menu ?
  6. If Graham was interested in the job permanently, but we have pretty much already ruled him out, he might not be particularly motivated to turn it round while he is interim
  7. I read an article recently that said that the trend is for Sports Directors to be qualified to degree level and that there were only 900+ worldwide. Also, if it is true we are looking for someone more experienced than Graham, I hope he isn’t interested in the job otherwise it would seem like an own goal appointing him as interim
  8. QP are on as poor a league run as us.
  9. I think, though, the difference is that if either Raith or Morton win their games in hand we might well not be 4th or 5th(unless they play each other).
  10. Robert’s wasn’t playing - that was Mitchell’s first game.
  11. Not sure it is quite true to say we stumbled into the playoffs. We were in 3rd place as we went into the last game and I think during that 90 minutes we were in every position between 2nd and 6th. It was a very close title race that season.
  12. I assume some of the cheap lazy options that have been talked about are Archie, Doolan and potentially Graham. Even although I see them all as different situations, it is hard to argue against the eventual permanent appointment of Archie and Doolan. As an interim, Archie was part of a group that had been reasonably successful upto that point, the manager had left(not sacked) abruptly. It seemed pretty obvious to appoint him as interim. And then he started winning games away from home, which we had stopped doing under Macnamara. Doolan was definitely out of the blue as interim as he had only been in the door with the academy for a few weeks and probably had had little to do with the 1st team. But again his results merited the permanent role. I actually think it is a bit harder to justify Graham as interim as he has a coaching role with the 1st team and is team captain so has a fair amount of responsibility to where we find ourselves.
  13. Milne was missing for 4 1/2 games before Roberts left. We lost 5 goals in those 4
  14. Isn’t he already doing 3 jobs, as he has a coaching role for the men’s team too.
  15. Not sure about QP as they seem to be on just about as bad a run as us. Wouldn’t be surprised if Raith and Morton pass us though.
  16. Aye - cos hate is always healthy.
  17. Now you are just being deliberately stupid.
  18. At games, there is a lot of hate directed at the as opposed to support for us. That hate inspires them !
  19. They haven’t happened yet. Apply from April this year.
  20. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an ex old firm player - it’s anything to do with them that brings out vitriol. And maybe if there wasn’t so much, we might beat them now and again.
  21. I think Brian Graham’s football wage will be lower. It will be supplemented by his coaching portion and what he gets for being PTWFC manager. I don’t think any player will be on anything like £50K a year.
  22. And your 1st sentence just proves my point. That’s the kind of reaction when an ex Rangers or Celtic player is even mentioned as coming to Firhill. It’s not healthy.
  23. We, more than other clubs, are obsessed with Rangers and Celtic and decry everything to do with them even to our detriment.
  24. Who’s to say TJF members aren’t doing all those things as well as paying into TJF. I am confused, though. They were the driving force to get change weren’t they that resulted in Jackie Low and her Board resigning en masse ?
