  1. Has to be 20 points minimum IMO , would look for 30 points to make sure there is a proper penalty for going into admin for a second time.
  2. Thats them in administration according to the text I for from an ex-dee4life committee member , they are seriosuly ****** and can barely trade day to day from what he was saying. Pretty grim but karma is a bitch , heres hoping a 30 point deduction
  3. Will the JT be able to get one or more of the directors to come to a meeting to outline their plans ? (when and if they have some that is )
  4. Interesting meeting last night , not a lot of new information for most people but nice to hear it in one go. IMO some of the trust people spoke to much to the detriment of other fans being able to speak and that was the only bad part. IMO the fundraising needs to be sorted out as a priority. Having multiple fundraisers is not the way forward ,its much easier to concentrate any effort on something like the Centenary Fund and the 50/50 draw and that should be it. Having fragemented schemes to cover such a small amount of people is a waste of resources. We were chatting afterwards about this and mentioned the Morton lottery (Morton Lottery), tickets are sold in local shops and a lot of non Morton fans take part in this, why not do something similar for us ? Put some 50/50 tickets in local businesses , stick a note on the ticket that the winning numbers will be announced at the game and you may get a few extra bodies along , also state that the numbers will be on the website on the Monday after the home game and its up to you to collect your prize if you win. How about the trust approach the club and suggest that a group of fans run all the fundraisers ? They wanted a leap of faith , let them have one in the other way and trust the fans to raise as much money as they can. There are quite a few people who have done this in the past for the trust and club , surely it would be better to get these guys involved and combine everyones ideas and get something that caters for the majority and is clear and simple for everyone ? The board rep thing TBH just turned into a bit of a joke last night , yeah it needs to be sorted and the fans needs someone working with the club but I like the idea of a non-exec director working as a checkpoint but would also counter that with a full director post. So would look for 2 people , 1 to be a full director working for the club (as any director should be) but another non-exec able to report on more things without the constraints of the full director post. I do not think the remaining directors are trying to remove the fans influence from the board given that Jim Alexander was one of the people elected to the first reformed JT board , wouldnt that be a bit hypocritical to go back on his many years of wanting fan involvement ? Cant see that happening and I think they remaining guys need some time to sort out what needs to be done and then work alongside the fans to get it sorted.
  5. Id rather sacrifice having a stand behind the goal if it meant we retained the main stand or built something of a decent size (2000+) in its place.
  6. read that today and thought it was a load of pish . If he truly believes that then he is a bigger idiot that I ever gave him credit for
  7. I think I still have the source code for that , drop me a PM if you need it
  8. So will all those fans who werent going coz of the 2 of them suddenly start flocking back to Firhill ?
  9. Thats a really embarassing email for anyone in that position to send. Makes him look like a total twat... oh wait ...

Since EP has returned to the club the administrative side of it has gone down the shitter faster than I thought was possible. The Centenary Fund should be s piece of piss to administer but he seems to be able to **** that up on a regular basis. I dont care about late draws but when he cant deal with processing new memberships or changes to existing ones or even chasing people who have cancelled then TBH its time he chucked it and left it to someone (anyone) else to do. Things like dropping hospitality plus all the other rumours you read on this place or hear from others make this a very very worrying time to be a Jags fan and that we are on the edge about to tip into the abyss. Anywya happy birthday Rodge
  11. It does But sometimes I get the urge to do it again , then I realise its not worth the hassle and go have another beer
  12. If the trust were to consider this I would want ALL "free" shares to be handed back at the same time. No point in throwing out any sort of chance of influence on the board if it doesnt accomplish anything.
  13. Bust Not even a chance we would survive as we are just about doing at present
  14. Don't think its a hidden agenda I just think its total incompetence and disregard for their customers. I don't include all the directors in this but there are some I would seriously question about their motives and attitudes towards fans and why even the simplest administration task (season tickets/CF etc) turns into a nightmare for anyone who is doing something that isn't standard or a wee bit different from the norm of the requests they receive. Hospitality is a weird one , it should make the club a fair bit of cash but if we arent promoting it then maybe there is something going on behind the scenes with the catering company or something like that ? Feck knows but would be one the JT should be asking their rep to find out what the situation is (espec since I want to use it at some stage this season)
  15. Pretty much agree with this If any group of fans can find the people willing to invest into the club (not just cash but the time to make the changes needed) then they will get a helluva lot of support from most fans IMO. Looking at £3m minimum to wipe the slate clean , buy back the bing and if required pay off any directors who want their cash back they "invested" and then we can start looking at things.
  16. You are right with your last bit - What happens when the view of other fans doesnt match with your view ? This is guaranteed to happen with any fairly large supporters group IMO and is the cause of why the JT appears to be ineffective at the moment. You are dealing with completely polar opposite views on most things and while many sit around the middle ground you will end up delighting one group and leaving another extremely pissed off. Its how you get all view represented that will be key in anything the JT does in the future and its not gonna be easy.
  17. They cant though , the banks are calling the shots now for most clubs in scotland and will not allow any further credit. So unless some directors finances that then IMO sacking McCall will not happen any time soon.
  18. The ManUtd situation is that there are loads of groups working together , protesting at games etc and another group working on sorting out funding to buy the Glazers out (the Red Knights they are calling themselves and are fans or linked via fans and most if not all have an interest in making some cash out of this which they will , its not an altruistic venture on their part) Saying its not the fans position to plan is a massive cop out , basically saying you wanna yell and scream but you arent gonna do anything about it. Im sure any of the board are not gonna walk away with a few people yelling at them. Every other club that has been able to get change at their club has had financial backing to do it and a plan from the fans on how they do this. Look at Stirling Albion since they are the first group to pull off proper fan ownership. They had a plan and saw it through. FWIW , I think we would need to look at 3 things - setting the debts to the bank (cover any guarantees held etc) - approx £1m - buying out the directors - feck knows what that would take as some will not walk away without their investment being paid back - buying back the whole ground - again approx £1m So at a rough estimate from past years accounts it may take as much as £3m to do everything on that list. Not a chance in hell any fans group can raise that cash by ourselves , if people wanna go down this route then they will need outside funding. Whether thats trying to find a partner with a property company who want to buy the whole of Firhill and are willing to look at providing land elsewhere to allow us to relocate to a new stadium which is a more realistic size (hell knows where that would be). but its an option that can be looked at by better qualified people. How do we do this ? **** knows but I would suggest that the Trust call an open meeting for all fans to discuss the situation at the club and then take the concerns to the club in a formal manner as a major shareholder , but this is where my knowledge of this stuff gets lost and confused as its years since I dealt with this area But the board will have to deal properly with formal complaints raised in this manner (I think so anyway ) This link (Removing a director) seems to give some decent information on removing directors from companies if you can prove their conduct has been detrimental to the business. I have a feeling this is gonna get very ugly for the club in a very short space of time if results don't improve quickly. Even if results do improve it only papers over the cracks in the club that need to be fixed
  19. Setup a secure area on the website allowing it to be viewed online for a week after the game before you can download it. Sorted
  20. As far as I know its still the case. There isnt enough of a breakdown of figures in the accounts to confirm it but maybe thats one for the JT to ask ? Just a simple "Do the directors still pay a yearly fee ?" with a Yes/No answer will do
  21. Only director that drew a salary was Eddie prentice and before that Alan Dick. Cant see anything in the accounts. If anything it costs them as I think they have to make a payment fo £10k in either cash or via sponsorship or hospitality to remain a director (whichever is all fine by me as long as they are all paying something into the club)
  22. TBH the only way forward for Thistle is for everyone to work together , put aside differences and just get on with what needs to be done. Too many people on both sides of the argument are acting like 5 yo kids (maybe they are ). IMO when people finally realise this is the way to go it will be too late. Would like to see a proper Q&A between fans and the board with pre submitted questions , not like the one that was in the AR lounge a few years back that from the start degenerated into farce when they let 3 old lunatics rant on for 30 mins and the rest of us never got to ask the questions we had wanted. Maybe one for the JT to try and setup ?
  23. As far as I can see it thats the case. Only way we wouldve got cash is if we had sold him in January or before last season.
