  1. Conveniently forgetting some of the duds that he signed. He signed some good ones and some bad ones, same as any other manager. I suspect on balance his recruitment was average. Re Doolan, we have no idea on the respective budgets. Currently his team are far exceeded my expectations at the start of the season.
  2. Which hotel ? We can gather outside and make a noise so that they get no sleep
  3. Let’s hope it is on and United’s training has been badly disrupted. A tough coach ride to Glasgow would do us no harm
  4. better that than Pumpkins for defenders, which is our usual
  5. Does it matter, providing it isn't a horror show ? I have been aware of it for some time, so I suspect it has always been there
  6. TBF taking off Che Adams would improve any side, no matter who you bring on
  7. It might be more than I thought. Oxford Utd are a League One club, so would be category 3 when it comes to Training Compensation. That means it would be €10k for each year he was at the club from age 12 to 15 plus €30k per year for every year he was with us after age 15. I think he was 17 when he left us. Any idea how old he was when he first joined TWA ?
  8. Yes. He is under 23 and he was training with us for a couple of years. It won’t be much, but the training compensation is due
  9. We have the power not to elect them to the board next time round
  10. I miss-read that as Fawlty Towers. Possibly more appropriate
  11. If two left and we were down to just one director, we wouldn't have any board room bickering. Or would we ?
  12. Too me it doesn't, but looking at the comments on here, some would prefer it wasn't flown. I am not suggesting refusing to fly the flag, more choosing not to. one of these cases where you can't please all the people all the time. Alternatively, all stop talking about flags and in a couple of weeks it will all be forgotten and we can start bickering over some other trivial issue.

  14. Whether it is or is not a symbol of independence, if some people believe it to be so, should we not refrain from flying the saltire just to remove all doubt ? Inclusivity is what we should support
  15. I read that differently. Not being a unionist doesn’t mean supporting independence. I’d like to think that our ethos is to have no affiliation with either side. Agree with others who have said club (and championship) flags only spas to remove any doubt.
  16. Now I am annoyed. It is the Union Flag, not the Union Jack. It is only the Union Jack if it is being flown from the bow or head of the spritsail mast on a ship. signed A. Pedant.
  17. Is it a good point ? Failure to get points against clubs at the relegation end cost us the league last season. As you say big game next
  18. No. From the local farm shop. Filling was too wet and lacked chunks of meat, so texture was all wrong.
  19. I had a Cornish pastie which was pretty average.
  20. So. Did anyone do anything interesting today ?
  21. Can we abandon the game now and save us from having to endure another half like that
