  1. Yip, running scared of us. So obvious when you think of it.
  2. Absolutely fantastic. Couldn't agree more with Honved
  3. Here we go... Goals For.......24 Goals Against..40 So in 34 league games we never scored more than 2 goals in any game. We actually only managed to score 2 goals in 6 games leaving 12 games when we scored just the once. To me the most appalling of all that is that in 34 games only 6 times did we manage to score more than one goal.
  4. Out quite a bit. Problem with Milne is that he's lost his scoring touch. Not somebody that comes back from injury and starts knocking them in again. Think McDonald is much the same.
  5. Is now "We have experienced an unprecedented number of burst pipes at the Stadium following the recent cold weather, which has affected various facilities within the ground including the toilets and catering stands." Burst pipes would improve the toilets
  6. not even on the Morton official site yet.
  7. Fair enough, hadn't thought about that. Still, think of the publicity if you got nicked.
  8. Not disagreeing, I really hope we get him signed up, but we're still playing three centrebacks in front of him. Perhaps if we had even more confidence in him we could add to the midfield and increase our chances of scoring?
  9. Regardless of permission a good pitch for someone would be along at the MacDonalds/Happy Eater type place just past Cappielow. A lot of Jags fans park there especially parent & kids. Would suggest the fans with motors are likely purchasers as they won't have to lug the calendar about all day.
  10. I know where this Thistle fan will be. Go to most away games but I've no intention of going back there for a long while.
  11. Would burst pipes at Cappielow make it any less welcoming?
  12. I take it that it was on satellite tv. Coat's on.
  13. Or Sammy Dows for us very old readers)
  14. Ah, but did you read the back of the card?
  15. Ah the old Galactic Empire, the graveyard of many a cosmic comedian.
  16. That would be at the back of my mind too but Jamie Adams is back at McDairmid. Possibly seen as a replacement for Hardie. Adams appears injury prone as well so maybe no room for another?
  17. Played 34 (17 home 17 away) Points 35 (10 wins, 5 draws & 19 losses) Home wins......7 Home draws....4 Home losses....6 Away wins......3 Away draws....1 Away losses..13 Too depressed by that to do the goals for & against but I make it 16 times we've failed to score in the 34 games.
  18. Appreciate reply, B.C.G. Jag. I've made my point and let's just say my frustration is most certainly not with the "reluctant volunteers"
  19. I would head for the Windsor Buffet. Good pint in there Ooops! just realised Honved had already posted such.
  20. A lot of points all noted and apologies if either of my previous posts are construed as sniping. Certainly not aimed at you or anyone who's stepped up to the plate recently. They were aimed entirely at those who preceded you and remain on the JT Board. TBH I didn't really consider my post as containing good ideas. When something of the magnitude of league reconstruction & change of season are being mooted a Supporters Association should be definition have canvassed their membership, advised the PTFC Board of their findings and published the results. That to me isn't ideas, it's just plain basics. Put another way if the Jags Trust isn't interested in its membership's views on something as potentially significant as the McLeish/SPL recommendations just what is it interested in?
  21. If there was a bit more muscle in midfield, particular in attack, then Doolan & Buchanan should be the default front two. Without that added muscle I can see why Donnelly gets a start ahead of Doolan. If we had a Hardie type instead of Hodge, Flannigan, Erskine or an out of sorts Cairney we could accommodate two relative lightweights up front.
  22. Sadly, all too true. So if our Club Representative (probably David Beattie) attends meetings on league reconstruction, winter breaks, summer football, friday night matches etc etc he goes armed with only the Board and management opinion. The majority of us were quick in slating Cowan & Co for not listening to and ignoring the fanbase at large, and imo quite rightly so. That said it's a ridiculous situation that David Beattie and the rest of the Board will only have anecdotal account of fan opinion through the odd e-mail etc over something that would have more than just considerable effect on all supporters. I can understand a certain inertia within the Trust as they go thru yet another transformation. I don't expect mission statements and policy while they are in obvious limbo. But no matter how much current internal upset exists there's one constant, they remain a supporters association. They should act like one.
  23. They could have canvassed their membership re McLeish, formulated some sort of consensus opinion on restructure, perhaps also include the result of the recent Supporters Direct poll and go to print on that.
