  1. So sorry to hear this sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.
  2. Drove coach to Aberdeen and back, incident free. Got back to garage, cleaned out coach, no problem. Heading home for my date with Jack Daniels. Puncture in my car 20 yards outside garage. Great end to a bad day. Never mind. Jack waited for me.
  3. Cruise control is usually on once we pass Perth, my socks hardly touch the pedals after that.
  4. I'm sure it's a great read, but not such a good idea whilst driving a coach to Dingwall.
  5. BJ, It was a weekend series I was at, couldn't get a ticket for the Friday night game which the Giants won. Got tickets for the Saturday and Sunday games which the Bosox won. 40,000 fans at both games and half of them were Red Sox fans, 3000 miles from home. No segregation, sitting having a beer watching the game, all very civilised. Sitting at a live game is a lot different from watching it on the telly, there is so much going on the average 3 hour match just flies in. Hope you manage to get to a game sometime.
  6. As you may tell by my avatar, i'm a Red Sox fan. first game i went to was in Toronto (BlueJays v Minnesota Twins), been hooked on the game ever since. Been to games at L.A Dodgers, L.A. Angels, San Francisco, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay Rays Stadiums. never quite made it to Boston (yet) I have sometimes even arranged holidays to the states around Red Sox fixtures (my better half still thinks it's a coincidence that the Bosox are in town at the same time as us).
  7. I noticed during "The Euros" that there has been a few changes to the laws of the beautiful game. The first, obvious one was that, at Kick-Off, the ball can be kicked in any direction. Did anyone notice this one. Leaving the field after treatment “If a player is injured from a challenge which is punished by a red or yellow card, he can have quick treatment on the field of play and does not have to leave. It always seemed unfair that the victim team was down to 10 men and the guilty team has 11 against 10" Common sense at last.
  8. Good article in the Sun today about Thistle Bloodstock owner, Mr. Jimmy Long.
  9. Happy days. Time for bed now. (Might have another couple of Tiger beers first though)
  10. Stuck in Dubai trying to get radio Clyde on the tranny. Good work sir.
  11. From where I was sitting (the posh seats as someone described it) behind the dug-outs, Jim McIntyre was at the touchline kicking and heading every ball with his players, while Archie was sitting cuddling Shaggy in the front row.
  12. My guess is that due to the recent high winds, the tarpaulin advertisements were taken down as a safety precaution.
  13. A Dunfermline supporting colleague reckons we must have a couple of great keepers if we can afford to send Ryan out on loan.
  14. What about that "sparkling" windscreen on the way home. Used Tesco's finest sparkling water to top up the windscreen washers at the ill-fated Aviemore.
  15. Bad planning for me I'm afraid. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately if my last visit is anything to go by) I will be in Las Vegas for the first two weeks in August. ( missing Fleetwood Town and my old friend, Codofthenorth as well) Land back in Manchester on 16th August so don't think I will make that game either. Shoite start for me.
  16. Would you be the same navy man who designed the official Fleetwood Town club crest?
  17. Where are you staying in Labuan? I was at the Dorsett Grand last Sunday and Monday nights
  18. Not as far as Japan but I should make it on time
  19. Logged on in Kuala Lumpur, not the same as being at the game Will be back for Saturday
  20. I won't be there myself, as I speak I'm in Borneo trying to get radio Clyde on the tranny. Will be spending New Year's Day much the same way although 3pm at porkheid will be 23:00 here, don't know if I will last the pace It will be a long pre-match bevvy
  21. Not going to Brunei until Christmas, will miss six games when I'm away. At least I won't need to go to porkheed now. (Every cloud eh!)
  22. My job on Saturday was to pick up international students at Glasgow Airport and take them to the various Halls of Residence sites throughout the city. Each time we went to Murano Street, I deliberately drove up Firhill Road, pointing out The Field of Dreams on the right hand side of the road as we passed by. I also informed anyone staying in the vicinity of the local by-law,stating that all locals must attend every home match and are forbidden from venturing towards any of the diddy teams who reside nearby. I was greeted with some strange looks and comments, but some said they might go along. I tried my best.
