  1. We have now won 5 competitive games in a row. The last time we won 5 competitive games in a row, we won the first division. Believe.
  2. It was Jakup Mikkelsen that played for us. He was terrific in a 2-1 defeat to Kilmarnock(Lilley got sent off after 18 minutes) but woeful the week later against Celtic (1-2 loss with a Lambert trickler going through him)
  3. It'll form the first of our Accies double header that week
  4. It's against Stavanger. http://www.afc.co.uk/articles/20120806/dons-to-play-friendly-in-norway-_2212158_2873642
  5. They have a glamour friendly to play on the 29th August and asked the SFL to move their cup game one week earlier.
  6. No. The next round is on 28th/29th August. Unless we get Aberdeen in which case it's the 21st/22nd August.
  7. Draw: Thursday at 1pm. Potential Opponents: Hibernian Kilmarnock Aberdeen St. Mirren Inverness Dunfermline Ross County Dundee Falkirk Hamilton Livingston
  8. ... Gretna played their first SFL game. I think all Thistle fan's defining memory would be the 3-3 game at Firhill in November 2005. Who left at 3-0? I remember staying because my bus time's wouldn't have justified leaving early. There's an interesting article about them: http://tellhimhespele.com/?p=821 Even though sometimes we chastise the board for a "lack of funds" at least we're here today and still competing. Thoughts and memories of the Gretna "fairytale" please.
  9. Johnny Lindsay and Shaun Fraser have left the club. On official site. No surprise but maybe freeing up wages for one last player?
  10. Correct. Queens Park can't play at Hampden until the 18th August, due to Olympic'y stuff. They have a precedent of playing at Firhill, so the game will be re-scheduled to Firhill, or Alloa, one would imagine. Edited to add: They aren't even sure they will be playing at Hampden on the 18th August..
  11. Would have been nice to go to Hampden but we'll beat Queen's Park at Firhill.
  12. A couple of you have the surname correct, but the wrong one LOL.
  13. Incorrect. The four taken were: Roberts, Gillies, Kilgannon, Snowdon.
  14. Incorrect. The 5th was indeed Strachan.
  15. Who was scheduled to take the 6th penalty in the penalty shoot out win v ICT in 2006? It was the Scottish Cup 4th round replay at Firhill on a cold Wednesday night in February (We played Hearts in the next round)
  16. People do remember that Eliot is 19/20 don't they? I'm sure there are days when you were that age that you under-performed at your jobs. Give him time to grow and don't expect a 20+ goal a season striker instantly
  17. If you remove the U16's going free - for away fans - then you may well be reducing the away support. A fair few away fans choose to come to Firhill because of the scheme. These parent's then buy food and drinks, programmes and spend a little bit of money - not a lot- but a little is better than nothing
  18. Well yes, they play for a team higher in the league. They've consistently hit more headlines. These votes will have happened at the end of Feb, start of March, so easy to vote for the players in form then. We could be third, but we could also be 6th. Still doesn't mean we should have more players in the team of the year
