  1. Interesting set of fixtures. Could see us being fourth for a wee while, but the last two games!
  2. My memory plays me tricks, but we made a lot of money, did we not, from finishing top six? Rather than spending it elsewhere, perhaps making an actual bid for Keown would be worthwhile? If Reading are being daft, then, no. But if we could do a deal, should we?
  3. Kris Doolan Training Facility. Seem to have my serious hat on! Sorry.
  4. I hope that they are told, very impolitely, where to go. It may be inevitable that Liam moves on to bigger, not better, things. But the bidding ought to start at around 3 million bucks, and not a penny less. Personally, I hope he see's out his contract with us, and stuff the chump change.
  5. Fingers crossed. Amazing turn around indeed, Looking for fourth place!
  6. How come Hamilton let him go? Tomas Cerny is, probably, the best goalkeeper I have seen for us since Alan Rough, Argueably, better.
  7. Couldn't agree more. This is a marvelous time to be a Jags fan. I love the current team. Sign Keown! Top four! Keeping that group of players together would be a huge investment in the future of the club. Hope it happens, and beyond all, I want Mr Archibald to stay too. Possibly the best manager we have ever had? Just putting it out there.....
  8. That was, astonishingly, wonderfully, amazingly good!
  9. There have been few players that have stuck with us throughout their entire competitive, top flight careers. We have someone, who, if not unique, is in a tiny minority of modern day sportsmen that have stuck with us, through thick and thin. Brilliant achievement. Brilliant dedication. Y'know, in a dozen years time when Alan Archibald hangs up his managerial credentials with PTFC and far bigger teams abroad are looking for their ability to pay him enough money, perhaps Kris Doolan could become our the next manager? For the guy has shown just how much this club means to him and how much he means to the club.
  10. I would trust our goalie, nine times out of ten. I think he has been, otherwise, pretty astonishing.
  11. Just noticed this game is today. A nifty 0 - 0 draw?
  12. Agreed, but it is still a gamble. I'd have liked to have had a combination bet, Lindsay and Doolan, but didn't see that option.
  13. I have put a couple of bets on. Liam Lindsay to score at long odds and Chris Doolan to score at shorter odds. If either does the business I am in profit. What could possibly go wrong with that? Well, I put exactly the same bet on against Dundee.
  14. How much do you think Reading would ask for him? I would like him to be here rather than there.
  15. It is the clean sheets that this team seems to be built on. Quite an amazing turn-around from earlier in the season. I am, nearly, looking forward to the Aberdeen game.
  16. As we head towards the 100, has anyone got a video compilation of them? I think that that would be a fitting tribute to someone who has become, for me, Mr Thistle. Perhaps it could be presented to him?
  17. Yes. I noticed that too. The team, in general seems to be pretty physical in a good way.
  18. Onwards and upwards! The next two games will tell us whether we have turned a corner or not. Quite astonishing turn around since, what, Christmas when we were sitting bottom? Hopefully I can get the Doolan 100 scarves out! Exciting times to be a jags fan. Got to give enormous credit to the management team particularly in the way they seem to find players who ooze class. And, perhaps unsurprisingly develop defenders through thick and thin. They also seem to have grown into game management in a hugely positive way. It is interesting that our prime assets, are all on longer term contracts. Can we keep Keown, please?
  19. I'm beginning to think you might be right. This team has the potential to go far.
  20. I suppose there are two sides to this. Defensively we have got a lot better when defending the Northy in the second half. Thomas Cherny's delight at another shut out is probably worth the admission money on it's tod. And the defence applauds us for all the support they've had. So feel good can be high. But. The bit of our team that has been a bit poorer than usual is our attack. Perhaps, for them, playing towards their own fans in the second half would lead them on to even greater feats of derring-do or summat. We don't, usually score winning goals in the first half, anyway. The defence can celebrate yet another shut out with the South end of the Jackie Husband stand. Our hugely talented attacking force will have to just make do with the adoration of the Northy. (Assuming that the damned idea works!)
