  1. IIRC George Niven broke his wrist at New Year but never missed a game as they were all postponed till the thaw came in March
  2. Plymouth Argyle who are bottom of the English leagues had over 6000 on Sat to see their first home win. Puts SPL attendances into perspective
  3. IF what she says is true, it's breath of fresh air. A player who wants to come to us. Something to with MacNamara perhaps?
  4. Best comment on here for a long time. Well said
  5. This sums up many pages of debate in a couple of lines.
  6. I have 4 old programmes from 1986 3 home V Airdrie Montrose East Fife 1 away to Clyde if anyone is interested please bell me on 07717-378585 and I'll stick them in the post.
  7. We have so many but for a final two it would be between Davy McParland and Jackie Campbell
  8. Let's go back to the team leaving the pitch to Kaiser Bill's Batman. You'd all be whistling it for the next hour !
  9. Will everyone get a grip. It's only the middle of August
  10. I couldn't agree with you more. Many people post on here only to be shot down by childish comments which wastes our time reading them only to find out they're complete drivel
  11. We did indeed. Played right half if I remember correctly. He also featured in the song sung by the fans to the tune of 'Lily the Pink' " We have a right half who broke his left calf and his name is George O'Neill Then we gave him the Scot Symon compound And now George is the man of steel" All together now "We'll drink a drink a drink.............."
  12. A very ungracious man, always has been.
  13. No Cadder in Maryhill about a mile or so up from Lochburn Park
  14. I was in that team from the 10th.Mind you I couldn't remember the score. Our BB captain was Murdy Fletcher a great guy and a Jag through and through. Those red ash pitches are still there and in a hell of a delapitated state.
  15. Spot on Sir, We're nowhere good enough to be in Div 2. Conference level although arguable, would stretch us
  16. If Ken Bates turned up now the Board would cut his hand off!
  17. Under Lambie, I've seen Thistle come back to win when we had only nine men on the park. Nonsense eh?
  18. We get the politicians we deserve and we get the Board we deserve
  19. Mccall says " the game was over at half time" It's always possible to come back from 3 goals down and many teams do. With that attitude we're stuffed for the rest of the season, however ultimate responsibilty lies with the Board. Please, will the Board face the facts and accept that although they're " Thistle minded people" they're crap.
  20. Best suggestion I've heard for ages. Are those at Lochburn Park Thistle minded?
  21. Our level is Conference; I can assure you.
