  1. Jim, if I am understanding you correctly you believe that if there is the opportunity for a further 3 clubs to be involved in a play off at the end of the season that will increase crowds? The proposals that have been in the public domain have always included the introduction of play offs and our supporters have been consistent in their opinion that acceptance of these proposals will see them stop attending games. Therefore, as I see it, we could at best maintain our current attendances with some of your new young fans being cancelled out by those who have quit. Have you carried out any research on this issue or it is a gut feeling on your part?

  3. Good news, don't let the guy sponsoring your boots drag you down!
  4. Maybe some sort of marketing & communication group involving successful people who care about PTFC could help with that
  5. Apologies if this is in one of the other threads (had a quick look and did not see it) but the document that was sent to the 30 SFL clubs has been "leaked". http://sport.stv.tv/...first-division/ There are so many things wrong in that document that I just don't know where to begin!
  6. A bit more info regardlng the timeline we are facing: http://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com/news/?mode=view&id=4015 Any of the onethistle team able to say how they will seek the views of the supporters as, at the moment, it is being left to the supporters to individually contact the club?
  7. Only a few days left in this quarter so lets finish it with a big push: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/ If we work together then we can make a positive difference to our club. Thanks for your support!
  8. I don't think that it will do any harm to ensure that our chairman does know how the supporters feel on this vitally important issue.
  9. Yes and I would urge as many supporters as possible to contact him so he goes in to this meeting as informed as possible about how we feel.
  10. If the SFL plan to meet early next week it is not leaving much time for the clubs to get meetings organised with their supporters beforehand. Time to send another e-mail I think.
  11. Something non newco to talk about: http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2012-2013/june_2012/the_manager_talks_about_the_first_day_back
  12. With 4 SPL clubs stating they will vote No on the 4th of July it looks very likely that a decision will require to be made by the SFL clubs. How soon do you think a meeting could be arranged and has there been any indication from the SFL when they would ask their member clubs to vote on the proposals that have been speculated on in the press?
  13. Remember that you can raise funds for our club without actually making an online purchase: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/deals/raise-funds-for-free/ Let's work together to generate as much additional income for our football club as possible. Thanks for your support!

  16. A follow up statement from the club which is a bit more to my liking: http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/2012-2013/june_2012/follow_up_statement_from_the_club
  17. There are clearly a lot of people who do not want to see our club vote for newco in Division 1 (I am one of them) but so far the main approach I have seen appears to be the stick - vote yes and I will not buy a season tickets, attend games, etc. Would a carrot approach - vote no and I will definitely buy a season ticket, join the Centenary Fund, etc - when contacting the club stand a better chance of success? Regardless though it is important that everyone who feels strongly about this issue contacts the club so they know how you feel about it and what the consequences of their actions will be.

  22. I believe that Raith's figure includes the free season tickets that they give to local primary schools. Falkirk had sold about 800 at last reports.
  23. A further £3.08 was raised just through one week of using easysearch: http://wearethistlefundraising.easysearch.org.uk/ This is a very simple way of generating additional funds for our cause and the more people who do this then the more funds will be passed to our football club.
