  1. linekar is the man I wish he was scottish
  2. Thought we were lucky to draw, very poor, particularly in defence where Scully kept us in it. Cant see where a win is coming from on current form. Sliding between "auch we're just playing poorly but it'll turn", to "actually we're not very good."
  3. Worked the whole game for me across my fone and laptop
  4. a very flat performance, started ok but the goal took away what little wind was in our sails and we were stinking from then on. no-one really deserves pass marks, but I think some of the critiscsim has been ott, we'll bounce back, we have a good manager and a good squad, we'll put this right and start picking up points I'm sure of it.
  5. Had a wee read on pompey twitter, their fans mostly very complimentary about him, really excited by this signing
  6. Sounds decent! 3 year deal, archie obviously a fan!
  7. 2 new videos up of what looks like weekly features, archie with the replays of the goals and other moments from saturday going over what pleased him and didnt please him etc. and then an update from the thistle weir programme, with a guy called Scott Allison who is the head of Thistle Weir if i remember rightly...though that might be Gerry Britton and im getting mixed up. Both good additions to the Jagzone i'd definitely watch both of them every week. The guy from the youth academy kept stressing he wasnt worried about results, just wanted to see progression from the boys, so refreshing to hear that, hope that is the culture throughout the youth set up, dont need to be stressing 13-15 year olds about winning, just develop their skills. Really liking the jagzone so far, happily pay £5.99 a month if they keep the content coming, really impressed with the new website and jagzone in general.
  8. had the conversation watching the game yesterday with my dad, where i said if i was Gordon Strachan, Alan Hutton's Scotland career would be at an end now, go with Paterson who as I said further up the thread is the most complete full back in the country
  9. THought we played ok and definitely deserved a point. Sat too deep for long spells in the game, showed them too much respect in my opinion but that seems to be archie's way (in the 2 home league games anyway) sit in against these teams that play out from the back, hit them on the break, i'll leave the tactics in archie's capable hands. Hearts are a decent enough big team and will definitely be top half, we did well but we do need to start taking points off the "big teams" our record against them is awful. Calum Patterson has really matured into a smashing player, I think he's the most complete full back in the league.
  10. my first thought had been to play Edwards in the Welsh role, I like his energy in the team but I agree his best position probably in the number 10 role. But I wouldn't be averse to Wilson playing there either as he played well in the league cup games. Big game for him to come into, be a good test of his character.
  11. I'm a huge NFL fan, and you should see the pundits on that sport. They know the 53 man rosters almost encyclopaedically for all 32 teams, can tell u the 3rd choice quarterback or back up punter for every team, really thorough in depth analysis. They watch all the games on game rewind during the week, can recall specific passages of play from 8 weeks ago and notice trends and tactical decisions, by comparison the punditry on offer for our game is amateurish, and that's probably me being generous
  12. Only word i've heard is osman post match on sayurday saying he'll hopefully be fit
  13. that's like asking a sieve to not let the water run through it.
  14. They starved us of the ball the first 30 mins, but it was mostly in their half, nothing threatening. Archie gotnhis tactics bang on, just sit in and hit them on the break ala erskines goal. I thought ziggy's yellow was a definite yellow, stupid challenge.
  15. Great win, thought we showed good tactical awareness and discipline, would have been wasy to get frustrated early when they had a lot of the ball playing it out from the back, we could have list our shape going chasing the ball, but archie has them well drilled and organised, and we ended up winning comfortably Cerny had nothing to do, pass matks for everyone, thought ozzy started rusty but came on to a game. Great start, i love alan archibald By the way, what was the thing about archie n bonner?
  16. My first game was the infamous abandoned snow game with aberdeen, abandoned at 2-0 to aberdeen. Rescheduled game finished 7-0 to the dandy dons. Was around 1992, i was 7!
  17. Congrats! I'll be 25 yr next yr, bloody hell! Heres to getting the 50!!
  18. I actually really like stevie thompson.
  19. Pat Bonner has to be among the worst most cliche ridden pundit I have ever had the misfortune to listen to, a total bellend. For what it's worth I think Killie and Hamilton will make up the bottom 2, with us being anywhere between 6th-10th.
  20. Boring uninspiring draw but a winnable tie
  21. Yeh i would have guessed somewhere in the 600-700 number, hard to tell when you're in the middle of it all.
  22. First half we were in total control, truly boys vs men. 5-0 would not have flattered us. Pogs and Amoo running amok. Second half we took the foot off the gas, let them back in the game when we should have been out of sight. But immediately stepped up the tempo and went up and scored another couple of goals to seal the win. That's first I've seen Syme - hard to judge him as Stenny didn't offer much going forward, looks ok. Lindsay does my head jn, looks a real prospect, but incredibly lazy with the ball, just flicks it in the direction he is facing it seems. I'm really encouraged by how we're looking to play out from the back, will be interesting to see if SPL teams press us on our own box. I worry about Welsh and Lindsay with possession around our box, both prone to dwelling on the ball. But it's nice to see us stixk to our guns with it. Just need to finish the job on Saturday with hopefully another strong win, and get us sharp before ICT.
  23. 2-1, second half has been ******* abysmal considering how dominant we were in first half
