  1. Yes, from the depths of despair to being one win away from glory all inside a week ................................only Thistle can take you on that kind of an emotional roller-coaster
  2. Did the same thing not happen last year as well? I'm fairly sure we never did get the highlights of the last couple of games of that season.
  3. Yes I did http://www.wearethistle.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/7702-christie-elliot-scores-the-winner-v-airdrie/

  7. Yes 100% correct! There has probably never been an instance of a keeper being sent off during a penalty shoot out and spineless Mr Crawford Allan was never going to be the first ref to do it, How many times during the penalty kicks did he warn the wee ginger shit but he just kept on using the same delaying tactics every time. Let's put it this way, had he not already been booked it would have been a absolute stick on he would have got a yellow card for his antics!
  8. You obviously weren't at Cowdenbeath on Saturday then
  9. They do! Can't expect anything but a Morton win there so victory for us on the 10th is a must.
  10. Thank Christ! That point might just be the difference between winning the league and losing it
  11. Well said! Lets just concentrate on the next game.
  12. I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that Archie doesn't much fancy Ross Forbes. He has been a substitute for the last three games playing a total of only 11 minutes and not getting off the bench all in the last two!
  13. Don't know about that! Morton have a game on Saturday the 6th ( we don't due to the cup final) It's against Airdrie so you would have to expect them to win it. If they were then to win a Firhill we would only be one point ahead assuming of course we had won at Starks park. I really feel that we need to beat Morton on the 10th April, anything less and we are in for a very stressful conclusion to the title race!
  14. Ha ha! I wondered who would be first to question that. I'm actually at my mothers who stays in Kinross which is about 10 miles down the road from Cowdenbeath
  15. He was absolutely shocking as were the linesmen. He turned down two penalty appeals in the first half and was extremely lenient to Cowden players who were puting in some fierce challanges. Just seemed like every decision went the home sides way however that makes winning the game all the sweeter, doesn't it
  16. What a result! Today could prove to be pivital in the race for the title. Thistle were by far the better team today but were up against not only Cowdenbeath but a referee hell bent on giving them every decision. Without doubt the most biased refereeing display I have witnessed in many a day. But to the positives, Craigen was again excellent, the defence were solid with the exception of the goal we lost which was really poor. Doolan yet again the hero with both goals, excellent low finnish for the first and a close range header for the second. A fantastic Thistle support today that cheered the team on throughout the game.........all 96 minutes of it! Cowden hit the post with a free kick (which they should'nt have been given) deep into injury time but had that gone in it would have been a huge injustice. Given the Morton result the midweek fixture with Raith now becomes massive. Three point in that one and we are on the verge of glory

  18. Quite possibly our best performance of the season. We simply blew Livi away in the first half. Superb performances from Erskine, Lawless & Paton but in all honesty there was not a single failure in red & yellow today. Six goals, six different scorers and another special goal from Chris Erskine! What a change from the days when if Liam Buchanan didn’t score then Thistle didn’t score. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4aSYTQ-i3hw
  19. Five in a row! We don't do that very often, do we. Long may it continue
  20. Full time !! What a brilliant result. This at a ground we seem to always struggle at. Have we finally discovered how to dig out results away from home? Given the morton result today's victory could prove to be absolutely crucial
  21. Quite possibly this was the most important result of the season for Thistle. Our poor away form of the last few months was obviously a real monkey on the back of the team and threatened to derail our title bid but today has wiped the slate clean in spectacular fashion. A big away win was needed to boost the players belief that they can go away from home and get wins and this result must surely have done just that.
  22. Paul Cairney against Dundee at Dens on 21st April last year.
