  1. Did he not leave cos he thought he had done all he could! Certainly started the ball rolling which has taken a step up each time we have changed managers. Seen him in Glasgow with his son and he always had the wee man in a thistle shirt!
  2. Is it probably not the case where they have used previous states for the likes of Murray, Kerr, Gallacher while playing for other clubs. Cant wait for the release, last fifa i had was 98' road to world cup LOL
  3. Agree with your points. Hope over the next few years thistle could establish a training facility, think its required more than a south stand (although would like to see that done as well). A training base would also allow better facilities for youth players and the more professional outlook would attract better players. Young and old alike. With regards to ATS, I would be disappointed if he stayed in the SPFL. Only clubs we should be losing are better players to should be Celtic, hibs, hearts(if they didn't have money troubles) and Aberdeen which may interest him being from up there. I believe we can compete with the rest of the teams. On a quick note, killie look like a club that is dying, fans seem to be drifting away in their numbers.
  4. Craigen tweeted that his dad is scottish yesterday so he's in!!
  5. Craigan can play for scotland and I am assuming balatoni can as well through the schooling rule. Mcgregor is out now as well. Call up for fox?
  6. Hmm Newcastle tried that with pardew. Fair to say it ain't working too great.
  7. Would take him on a 6 month to see how it goes! With the balls ATS & SOD send in would be nice to have a bigger presence in the box. Doolan still no.1 striker in my book
  8. Wouldn't say people were booing but more like pick it up and sort it out. No matter what sport people need different kind of encouragement and sometimes it's justified. Needless to say the moaning came after 5-10 mins of sloppy play which after that the players pick it up and everyone was back on bored!
  9. Agree with the first part but thought craigan had a good game and osbounre would have been my motm after higgy! He cover a lot of ground and shut down their players as soon as the got the ball. Bannigan was unplayed in the first half also, they couldn't cope with him.
  10. I believe the moaning was merited and it was Really only on one occasion. It's all well and good encouraging the team with chants and claps but sometimes a wee kick up the Behind is needed. Balatoni noticed it and after that seem to pick up his game!
  11. Forbes is a difficult one. On his game probably one of the best players we have. Sadly his tracking back and the fact by 70 mins he seems either knackered or just can't be bother. In saying that I would still be tempted to play him today, we need a bit of flair in the early part to break st mirren down and hopefully get a goal or 2 and I think he can provide that. If he lasts 70 mins then fair enough but we need a cutting edge and he can provide that.
  12. Interesting that in 2 seasons in the spl we only had 7 live TV games and this year in only 3-4 months we will have played 6. Sorry should be 5 with 1 delayed TV game on alba.
  13. He is away to Dumbarton til January. They are put a decent experience squad together.
  14. Someone must be reading this. Update on website. Tickets can be purchased over the phone and will be sent recorded delivery. Extra 2.50 for that!! Good on the club for reacting to fan comments Oops don't know why this posted twice!

  16. Surely a game away to Motherwell is on par with other tough away trips where osbounre is required? Would like to see Forbes maybe start against st mirren. At times he is frustrating but his free kicks and corners are a cut above. Also when he is in the mood I think he is one of the best players we have. (Please note I said when he is in the mood, at other times he gets caught napping)
  17. Spot on, a lot of people can't make every game so they will pick ones that interest them ie. first game of the season. Games against Ross county & ICT don't interest the average joe bloggs and couple that with small away supports for these fixtures think we would be looking at under 4000!
  18. Got to be option A, defiantly for the Motherwell game at least and depending if osbounre is near enough match fit.
  19. Is this not the problem all over scotland. Sadly the majority of people don't support their local team, they support one of the ugly sisters. It's something that we will never be able to change and because of this Scottish football will always be doomed with no competition at the top. In saying that I lived in Aberdeen for a year and everyone seems to support them but they seem to struggle to get the crowds in ( years of no success). If they could average 18000 a game they would be able to strengthen so much to compete with the OF. The points about Inverness, county and st Johnstone is that these clubs can offer better money than thistle and have lower attendances. How long can these teams sustain that!
  20. Thought we were fantastic. Movement in first half was unbelievable. Fair play to hearts who changed there approach after half time but still thought we were the better side. Loss of welsh in the middle maybe hurt a bit. Also their keeper pull off 3 or 4 cracking saves. Gutted we never won but if we continue that level of performance it will be a great season!
  21. Wembley is brilliant! Seen the nfl there! It's massive and if there is a good atmosphere then it could be something special.
  22. Hopefully! But sadly I have had a few ppl before very unwilling to move
  23. Hopefully get mine tomorrow but it has been a farce so far. We asked for 3 seats together instead we got 2 then a space then the other. Problem is the seat in between is also reserved for a season ticket! Pain in the arse!
  24. From what I have seen of Kerr I would say he is better. Paton is a very limited footballer albeit he will give u 100%. In my opinion Paton was very overrated by some thistle fans and it showed when he was out injured we didn't miss him.
