Don’t particularly want Coyle as our manager but he’s looked at what he’s after to get out of the Championship and he’s definitely got a blend there whether it’s organisation and the physicality of his team or good players at our level like Simon Murray and Josh Mcpake We’ve got no chance with McCalls tippy tappy football , there has got to be more than that to win crucial games especially away from home .

Think you’re right re McCall , as a manger at Firhill he’s now been here for just over 3 years , in comparison Owen Coyle has been at Queen Park for less than a year and built a team that will challenge for the title. Watching that today McCall set us up totally wrong, totally outmuscled yet again in midfield with Turner , Doc , Lawless and Fitzpatrick and the lesser spotted McKinnon Could have changed the system possibly starting Kevin Holt or Hodson in a holding midfield role to protect the defence. Seem to have the same system every week regardless of the opposition.

What is the point of Alan Rough at our Club exactly.

Can include Aiden Fitzpatrick as well , came on and went through the motions , absolutely no desire, didn’t chase back when he lost the ball , didn’t cover for his teammates. Waste of a jersey .

Agree with your post but I can’t see anything changing anytime soon , the main difference being between what we had in the past were directors who had a vested interest in our Club and contributed financially like Beattie , McMaster , Oliver and Reid and who would suffer on and off the park if the books didn’t balance and there wasn’t some degree of success. What we have just now , is a chairperson in Jaqui Lowe who as far as we know hasn’t invested in PTFC and seems to be on some sort of power trip to maintain her contacts within the business world unless there is some sort of remuneration that is hidden within our “ Accounts “ The protests yesterday won’t harm Jaquie Low only our Club .

Absolutely right about Aiden Fitzpatrick, don’t think anyone can doubt his ability but his fitness levels and his attitude are open to question. Got his move to Norwich and probably the same as a lot of young players down there got too much too soon . Hopefully the penny will drop soon and he won’t waste his career.

Don’t think it’s that much of a bonkers idea but can’t see Dools working with the present chairperson after everything that has happened before which she was 100% part of .

Should the BOD not have some sort of vision for our Club , we’ve heard nothing about their future plans if they had any anyway .

100% , our template should be similar to St Johnstone, similar crowd base etc, difference is they’ve had a infrastructure within their Club for years which has proved successful. At PTFC there seems to be an acceptance of failure , needs a total shakeup from top to bottom from directors who contrary to their title show no direction at all and to a bombscare management team on the football side . Personally I’m fed up with the “ Cuddly Toy “ image we’ve got , our Club deserves so much better .

Think Sneddon showed last year he was a good keeper especially during his run of shut outs .

Don’t think it’s just about losing a few games , it’s the direction McCall is taking the Club , too many journeymen players Smith , Mitchell , Muirhead etc. If by some stretch of the imagination we did get promotion how many of these players would be good enough for the Premier League , at a stretch Harry Milne and maybe Kevin Holt . Surely over a period of time there has to be a pathway for young players coming through either our system or give a chance to other Academy’s players who haven’t quite made it yet . I agree there has to be a balance between young and experienced players. At our level there also should be a functioning scouting system, not just relying on agents pushing forward their players . IMO for us to have an optimistic future there has to be a progressive management team and even before the recent batch of results I don’t think we’ve got that .

Not sure about Kevin Holts injury , but Doc’s injury is a Grade 1 hip flexor tear Whatever that means !

Last year , Jamie Sneddon improved as a keeper resulting in 7 or 8 clean sheets in a row and you could see his confidence growing. Sneddon is young for a keeper and will keep improving, McCall has shot his confidence totally by dropping him all the time. At his age , Mitchell won’t get better , what you see is what you get .

Imrie is actually a bit longer in the tooth than you probably think , my nephew was coached by him at Hamilton for a couple of years and from what I’ve been told he definitely commands a respect , he then stepped up to be assistant manager to Brian Rice until he left under dodgy circumstances, you’re quite right Davie Martindale gave him another chance as did Morton where he has done well .

Think you said there wasn’t much to go on , similar to Jackie Mac when he came to Firhill It wasn’t a criticism!

Did Jackie McNamara have any track record at all when he came to Firhill , Kevin Thompson has lots of contacts within the game , got a knowledge of young players after working within the Rangers Academy, rather we went in that direction rather than journeymen pros like Cammy Smith ,Danny Mullen and I’ll also add David Mitchell to that list Got to be wholesale changes to our Club and the direction we want to evolve to .

Jaqui Lowe won’t sack McCall as he is part of the nonsense going on in the background and financially we can’t afford to get rid of a manager and two assistant managers. You called the game right, worked well in the first half with the two wing backs pushing forward but give credit to the Dundee manager who changed it at halftime with his changes not allowing our two wing backs to get forward, so our 3 at the back becomes a 5 and that’s where the gaps started to appear middle to front with McCall doing nothing to change it .
