Worth adding that the fans really backed the team today. No anti Caldwell sentiment around me. May of course have been different if Morton been ahead.....most fans realise we won't win every single game and their will be blips, but there is some consistency evident. Our away form in particular is far better than it has been in our recent history. I'm still hopeful of that 6th spot. I think someone mentioned hat eating possibilities....
Just in. Agree with comments 're hazard, Doolan and McDonald. No failures today and a special mention to Shea Gordon who played well considering his time out. Rode our luck first half but we could easily have got 5 today. Nb good jags support also. Onwards to our next must win game. It's not going to be dull that's for sure.
Agree with all of this. We all need to take a look in the mirror sometimes. There is banter and there is nonsensical abuse. Most fans know the difference. A small minority of thistle fans don't.
I think we know what the reaction would be....fans are fickle. Nature of the game. However most people on here would warmly welcome McCall back if that occasion arises. Never a dull moment being a Thistle fan. With regard to dools being a manager difficult to see that in the short or long term. I'd rather he was in the team trying to influence things where it really matters.
I don't get the Dools ommision either. Yes he played poorly by his standards earlier in the season but given the chance he will score goals. Storey and Mansell simply not goalscorers.
Even though I couldn't make it agree with this. Sensible comment free of bile. Truly awful result. Thankfully I have sunshine and lots of beer to extinguish this defeat. No Im not in Tenerife lol.
By the sounds of it im lucky that BBC Scotland won't allow me to view the game or listen to it. Clearly we were rubbish first half which hopefully means we can only improve. Worrying 're so many bookings.....
I like to think I provide some balance. Caldwell certainly not my hero. Far from it but I have given him the benefit of the doubt for now. You shouldn't let your obvious hatred of the manager get in the way of reasoned argument my friend. Words will always defeat the truncheon I think you will find.
I'm being realistic. If everyone on here was brutally honest during their own job interviews I suspect we would have more time on here! Now that's a truly awful thought....
So the subtle pressure bit has nothing to do with Caldwell being under subtle pressure to play Hazard rather than Sneddon. Really? And the throwing them into the net for fun is not about Hazard then....seriously?
We have been over this ground before. What is a prospective employee meant to say at an interview to ensure you get the job, but don't demean the players, staff, system and ex manager. Helluva ask.
A very fair summary. Assuming we stay up and then we don't kick on next season, I fully accept he will be under even more pressure. I'm making no predictions lol how this will unfold.
I actually think both hazard and sneddon are decent keepers, so happy with either of them. What is evident that some are trying to denigrate Caldwell by suggesting he MUST play Hazard irrespective of his form.
