I've definitely been to games in years gone by where the attendance given was nowhere near what actually seemed to be in the ground. Well below though not above. I presumed that it was to avoid some tax etc.

Ive only been here 5 minutes but it does seem like there are a code of great members that could pick up the mantle if required. It's a difficult one. I've had a look around and at almost £2k its one of , if not the most expensive medal for sale at the moment. I suppose it's who else would it appeal to outside of "Thistle" supporters. I can't seem to find any real records of Thistle players medals sold so can't find any pricing precedent set. The seller on eBay does seem to be a dealer in this sort of thing so I'd imagine he knows his market better than most. The back story would be interesting to know how he came into possession of it. I'm sure if there was no bids at the asking price he would be willing to negotiate and although I'm sure he would want to turn a small profit on whatever he paid it would be a great news story to be able to buy it for the club and good publicity for his business too. So potentially could be a win win. Fingers crossed it ends up for the future generations of Thistle fans to admire.

Well spotted. It's sad to see that ex players have had to sell on their medals but I suppose players never earned today's money back then. It would be great for the club to buy something like this back.

@bowenboys sorry to see we've not hit it off on a good note. You are correct I'm a collector of urban art and yes I have one of the footballs thanks to a kind member here. However im not a dealer, nothing of the sort. I was looking for another couple to give as gifts to some like minded friends. If I did live close enough I'd make the effort to come to watch Partick myself. Unfortunately I don't. My offer wa a genuine one and would send proof of the donation to the seller. Apologies if you think I've just come here on the take that wasn't the intention.

These giveaways are a great idea and I would love it if someone could pick up one o these scarves for me and I'll pay for the privilege. I'm also still after one of the Footballs that were given away. Happy to pay £25 for a ball with 2000 given away someone must know the whereabouts of a couple. Thank you for letting me join your forum. I hope to be able to play an active role over the coming months. I'm a regular on some other online forums mainly urban art based. Hence my joining... I noticed that in the game against Dundee 3rd October. That there was a football given away at the game designed by Barry McGee. I wondered if anyone here managed to pick one or a couple up? or may know someone that did? I'm happy to pay £25 for one if that helps prise one free. Again thanks for having me here. Chris.
